“Really good Fish Fry. I had the fried cod, wife had baked, MIL had Walleye. All really good. Potato Pancakes, coleslaw, German Potato Salad all yumm. Very good bourbon old fashioneds. Very friendly and welcoming environment. Will certainly go back.“

“This must be some of the best bar food around. If you are anywhere close, it is well worth going out of your way a bit for the food and the service. And, they actually clean the tables with a clean cloth between customers.“

The haddock fish fry is fantastic. Large portion. The bartender is much better now and the service is top notch. This is a must visit if your interested town or passing through. My wife loves the cheeseburger“

“I didn't know they had food until pretty recently. We got the breaded mushrooms and a pizza. The mushrooms are like a broasted taste and not super heavy. They and the pizza were awesome. They said they were short staffed but we got our food in what I feel is a normal time. This is definitely going to be our go to for pizza now. I also appreciate that it's pretty affordable.“

“been going to Squids 2 for quit a long time my sense was 25 im 45 now use to be me and my uncle and sometimes parents now it's just me and wife go on Friday. Love all you can eat Fish on Friday with buffet and there homemade Tatar sauce, me and family use to go all around to all you can eat fish frys been to at least 10 all you can eat places in this neck of the woods and I want to say honestly for price and quality it's one of better places to get all you can eat fish. I enjoy a pitch of spotted cow with me fish here..“

“My parents & I met here with my kids on a whim bc the original place we were going to had a long wait. We know a couple that frequents HSA so we thought we’d check it out. We had a great experience- food was good and our waiter was awesome! My only complaint would be the prices on everything. Up charge for everything - including to add fries & $3.50 for kids drinks is a little over the top. I understand the kids cups are probably not cheap but still. I’ve been to many places where we didn’t get charged for kids drinks & got the nice plastic cups. Asked for an extra side of ranch & was not told it would be an extra .85.

It was kid friendly but no kids menu. I bet it would be easy to come up with some creative kids options, that people would really enjoy. (some fun and creative kids’ menu name ideas: Mini Chopper Sliders, Roadster Chicken Bites, Lil’ Rider Fish Fry, Kid Cruiser Dog, Handlebar Grilled Cheese, Pit Stop Mac & Cheese, Easy Rider Chicken Tenders, Scooter Shrimp Sticks, BBQ Highway Skewers, and the Motor Mini Burger. Sides could include Chrome Tots, Cruiser Fries, Road Trip Veggie Cup, or Fuel-Up Fruit Sticks.). -How fun would some of those be :)

It was my family and I first time there. the food was excellent and my 10 year old son said these are the best "tater tots I have ever had" so we all tried them and he wasn't kidding. crispy and delicious 😋 I had the pulled pork mac n cheese burger and it was amazing 👏 we will definitely be back!“

“The kitchen at the hideaway puts out some excellent tasting seasonal dishes such as the short ribs. Toady I was able to sample the new smoked meat selection and oh, man the flavor is out of this world. The Ribs, lean brisket and fatty brisket is insanely good. The servers are excellent and friendly. Lexi was so polite and proper. On a very busy day when the kitchen was very backed up 1-1.5 hours she made sure to make us aware of the wait we had in store. We really appreciated that attention and heads up. The lake front dining experience that is somehow unique to hideaway vs. others on Okauchee was worth the wait. The staff and other customers are so friendly and inviting. The Hideaway is a family run business done right. I ran into a hideaway bartender at Kwik Trip on a random day and asked how he liked working there since a family member was looking for a serving or bartender job. He told me how he has worked in the industry many years all across lake country and has never been as happy with the environment of the restaurant and bar industry as he is with working at The Hideaway.“

“I had a delicious (& huge) hamburger. The seasoned fries were delicious. The waitress was helpful & prompt. It was nearly empty on Sunday night (post Packer Game). The music was a bit loud, but it's basically a bar.
We would like to come back in the summer when we can sit outside.“
