“We picked up the hand breaded fried cod with fries and potato pancakes. I have never had a take out fish fry that I’ve loved after getting it home, until now. WOW. The breading was crunchy, cod was cooked perfectly, it came with a delicious coleslaw, rye bread, tarter sauce (yum!), applesauce and lemon. This is absolutely a top 3 fish fry for me. We can wait to go back!!!“

“I am beyond disappointed with my experience here. We asked the bartender for a simple mushroom garnish for our drinks, but they mistakenly rang up an order of breaded mushrooms. When we tried to clarify the order, the bartender completely lost their temper and started screaming at us, accusing us of lying about what we ordered. ​Mistakes happen with orders, but being screamed at by staff is unacceptable. It was embarrassing and ruined our night. We won’t be returning until management addresses the extreme lack of professionalism behind the bar. this occurred at approximately 530-6 pm on 1/2 26 for reference for management as to who the young male bartender on duty was..“

“Had a cheeseburger and fries plus classic Bloody Mary which was pretty good Plate burger and fries came on was too small so juice from pickles kinda saturated the bun. Ordered medium done for meat but pretty much raw. Maybe that was my fault and should of ordered med well? Liked the fries a lot as not too salty. Service was GREAT! Somehow my wallet came out of my pants pocket and must've fell on chair seat. When we'd left, server tried tracking us down but we were already on our way. I realized it wasn't on me when I got home so called. They had retrieved it and put it in a safe place until my son picked it up the next am. Honesty and integrity those workers have there. God bless them! ❤“

“Finally got the fish fry, well my husband did and I got the grilled cod, it was fantastic! My 2 pieces of cod were GIGANTIC and very flavorful as well. Busy place and a really friendly bartender who helped us while picking up our food. Will be back to tey other things!“

“Found this place on a whim by searching food near me on our way home from St. Lukes. We checked out the menu and were sold! I must say the food was hot and tasty! I had the Onion Burger, My friend the Bang Bang Shrimp Tacos. The serving size were plentiful. We will definitely be back and we'll spread the word !! Keep it Up!!“

“Nice place to watch a Packers or Brewers game. They always have drink specials. The pizza is what I would recommend, nothing fancy, but delicious. The service can be a little slow when its busy but when they get to you the staff is friendly and helpful with recommendations.“

“Let’s start with 5 stars***** We visited Tally’s Tap on Wednesday October 8, 2025. This was our first visit. We spoke to a man on the way in, and he recommended the BBQ Ribs which was the ‘Homemade Dinner’ special - his name was Stan (a once a week regular). Inside we were promptly seated, and it was busy, with a full parking lot. Mike was our great waiter, and we also met Chad (another super friendly and knowledgeable waiter). I ordered a full rack of ribs, with Mac and cheese, fresh green beans, and corn bread for $24 (I think). Stan and Chad were right - the ribs were super tender, great BBQ sauce. I shared them with my husband and daughter and we all felt they were absolutely outstanding. Corn bread was very tasty as was the Mac and cheese. My husband ordered a wrap with grilled portobello, and a cilantro sauce - he said it was good. My daughter ordered a salad, with fried chicken sliced on top, and substituted the menu dressing for the green goddess. Everyone enjoyed their food. It was a lovely first visit, and we will be back! Thanks to the employees, and owners for making this such a great experience. By the way - I am very picky. I know good food because I worked in some great restaurants on the East Coast. It is tough to have me really love a meal - but you guys made that happen!“

“Have been to The Rox many times, just to stop in, have a few drinks or dinner, or for parties and other events. This is a highly underrated bar, and more folks should give it a try. “We have traveled extensively throughout the United States and Caribbean. In fact, we are three states away from being in all fifty. This hotel is one of the best planned and run that we have ever stayed in! The check in agent was busy on a work related call but managed to check us in so we didn’t have to wait. The room was spotless and smelled very clean. The bed was oriented facing the window which I don’t think I’ve ever seen before. Rather enjoyed that. Very comfortable pillows, two seemed to be feather. An honest to goodness nightlight was provided in the bathroom instead of nothing or a green glowing panel. The floor to ceiling sliding glass door in the shower insured no fighting with a curtain to keep water off the floor. Nicely arranged bathmat to look like a butterfly. Speaking of the shower, how nice the have the water control on the opposite wall from the shower head so you don’t get sprayed with cold water. A nice big shower also. PLENTY of outlets and USB fast charging ports in the room also, much appreciated! Well appointed gym. The breakfast room in the morning was well designed with tvs on several walls so no matter which way you faced, made for easy viewing. The breakfast among other things consisted of scrambled eggs, hash browns and nice crisp bacon. Muffins, waffles, breads etc made for a breakfast to please anyone. All well serviced and maintained by staff. USA Today was provided both downstairs and by the elevator on the floors. Ample parking and walking distance from a Walgreens and restaurants. Right across the the State Fairgrounds also. All in all, congratulations to the management and a place we will definitely stay at again should we find ourselves in Milwaukee!“
