“Good place to have a meal. Lots of choices on the menu with reasonable prices. I had the shrimp, which was very good; so were the cheese curds (which were half off due to happy hour). A friend had the french onion soup and said it was very good. Our waitress, Jennifer, was great -- attentive, knowledgeable, efficient and friendly. We'll be back. Lastly, we think it'll be a great place to watch a game.“

Onion rings were hot with a firm dense crust. My friend and I were almost in disbelief. Staff was incredibly polite. Clientele, (place was packed), were well-mannered. Today, I finally had the chance to step into Jerseys Pub and Grill for my first official Fish Fry Lunch of Lent 2025! It's located at 4024 S Howell Ave, Milwaukee, WI 53207, and let me tell you – I’ve passed by this place countless times, but today, I finally got to experience it! What a hidden gem it turned out to be!
It all started when I met the owner, who just so happens to have a son at the same elementary school as my own. That’s when I discovered their Friday Fish Fry – a perfect addition to my Fish Fry Bucket List.
Now, let's dive into the mouthwatering menu options they offer on Fridays:
* Cod Fish Fry: Freshly cut lemon wedge, slaw, rye bread, and your choice of fries, potato wedges, or tater tots, all for $13.
* Fish Sandwich: Served with your choice of potato for $10.
* Shrimp Tacos: A flavorful delight for $9.50.
* Fish Tacos: Tasty and satisfying for $9.50.
* Shrimp Basket: Perfect for seafood lovers at $11.
From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by the owner’s warm and friendly demeanor – she made me feel right at home. Her impeccable service really set the tone for the whole experience.
As for the food – WOW! I was served three generously-sized pieces of cod, perfectly battered with just the right amount of crispiness, yet not oily at all (huge win!). I went with the potato wedges, and they were on point – golden brown, crispy on the outside, and warm & fluffy on the inside. The slaw wasn’t the creamy type I usually prefer, but it had a delightful, crisp flavor that paired perfectly with everything else.
All in all, this was a fantastic Fish Fry Lunch that I’d definitely recommend if you’re in the area and craving something new! Another Milwaukee gem to add to your list.“

“I at one time would recommend this place and I still do recommend this place. I just feel like well. Skyler told me that she did not like my attitude now I am 63 years old. I don’t have an attitude. I’ve been going there for three years because she chose to have a big meeting about me because I had attitude. I hate to use the word races even though I believe the owner is Hispanic, but she controls everything in the front one time she took it upon herself to order us my husband and I a fish fry day And she stood there and she told me three times. “Went for the first time today for a doggo lunch date with muh fur baby. Wonderful staff and quick service. I noticed negative reviews complaining there was dogs, well no crap it’s the business model and there’s an actual picture of a dog on the door and logo. ANYWAYS price is a little steep but when I got my food holy cow it was delicious. And I love that they have dog friendly menu items available as well. The place is super clean for the amount of guests and animals that come through. Loved that the food pickup and service area is separate from dining. The only downfall was I did pay for pickles and there wasn’t any but I didn’t even notice it until I devoured the first half of my food. No big deal. I ordered the steak sandwich and strawberry limeade which I also love is made by hand with fresh fruit. My dog is now sleeping in a food coma as am I.“

If you’re gonna be a jerk like me and always stop in late after work, you and whatever friends you bring with you should be willing and able to tip any place you go, but especially here because they really earn it. They do a great job serving everyone, even when it’s busy. They make first time visitors feel like long time regulars, and they always seem to know whether a person simply wants to drink in peace and quiet, or if they could use some conversation. Besides the staff, I’m a big fan of the fact that they can bake you a frozen pizza after their kitchen closes. Decent prices, exceptionally decent staff, and always a great time. Pool, darts, games, dice, jukebox, many tvs, a patio out back, picnic tables out front, and even a shuttle bus service (don’t know all the deets there). Go, tip, and be merry.“
