“Food was delicious but a little bit too greasy for us. The tartar sauce was different. I would suggest maybe putting a tiny bit of macintosh apple in there. The coleslaw was not sweet what I'm used to. It was very sour so I don't know if it's supposed to taste like that or if it was old. My son wanted to try the chicken tenders but they don't serve them on the same days as fish fries. My son ended up getting the last burger. They were all out after that. Not sure if this happens often but I felt bad for the people that came in after us that left because they were there for burgers. Service was a little slow. The atmosphere was a little too dark for us. Overall I give this a four star.“
“You won't be disappointed in the food, its really good. I just can't get over the beer prices.. 10 dollars for a beer is insane. 7-10 dollars for craft/local beer.. shooo. The food is worth checking out though. ??? Get the Half-Chicken if you want something fried and fantastic.“
“This was our first time trying Braun’s Power House. We ordered a couple fish fry’s to go and were not disappointed! The food was excellent, 3 good size pieces of fried cod, delicious batter and flavor on the cod, great fries, great tarter and coleslaw. I wouldn’t hesitate to grab a fish fry from here again!“
“Great food, Nice to have a bar that my husband and I can walk to from our house. The only thing that would make this place better is if they had shuttle to go to brewers games hopefully they can make it happen some day because then we would be a patron for life!!Parking: street parking“
“I saw the Friday $5 7am breakfast after having a nice burger/beer lunch so I decided I would try the breakfast. Once a gain a different server but just as friendly and inviting to the outsider like my first visit, definitely not one of those bars that that make you feel uncomfortable if your not a regular. Just like lunch they give you a breakfast stamp card with the 8 breakfast free. The Friday breakfasts change and Father's Day is steak and eggs so I'm told and regulary it's what they decide the breakfast will be because there is no breakfast menu, you get what they give you on any given Friday. My visit was sausage links, potatoes, eggs and toast. I had a bloody/beer chaser with two olives/small piece of a beef stick, nothing special, I only ordered it after watching someone order it because I usually have them with breakfast. The food came hot with perfect sunny side up eggs, generic white toast, greasy fried potatoes and real sausage links. For my first dive bar breakfast it was all real cooked food comparable to a greasy spoon restaurant with super friendly/staff and not that's it's only $5, it's a cheers like friendly place for outsiders. Even though it's a fellow at my job hang out which they didn't know that I will do the stop by breakfast thing once in a while.“
“We have traveled extensively throughout the United States and Caribbean. In fact, we are three states away from being in all fifty. This hotel is one of the best planned and run that we have ever stayed in! The check in agent was busy on a work related call but managed to check us in so we didn’t have to wait. The room was spotless and smelled very clean. The bed was oriented facing the window which I don’t think I’ve ever seen before. Rather enjoyed that. Very comfortable pillows, two seemed to be feather. An honest to goodness nightlight was provided in the bathroom instead of nothing or a green glowing panel. The floor to ceiling sliding glass door in the shower insured no fighting with a curtain to keep water off the floor. Nicely arranged bathmat to look like a butterfly. Speaking of the shower, how nice the have the water control on the opposite wall from the shower head so you don’t get sprayed with cold water. A nice big shower also. PLENTY of outlets and USB fast charging ports in the room also, much appreciated! Well appointed gym. The breakfast room in the morning was well designed with tvs on several walls so no matter which way you faced, made for easy viewing. The breakfast among other things consisted of scrambled eggs, hash browns and nice crisp bacon. Muffins, waffles, breads etc made for a breakfast to please anyone. All well serviced and maintained by staff. USA Today was provided both downstairs and by the elevator on the floors. Ample parking and walking distance from a Walgreens and restaurants. Right across the the State Fairgrounds also. All in all, congratulations to the management and a place we will definitely stay at again should we find ourselves in Milwaukee!“
“Fantastic AYCE beer battered or regular battered cod fish fry with your choice of fries or potato pancakes with applesauce or syrup. For a minimal upgrade price you can choose homemade rater tots, onion rings, and a few other options. Also served with a great rye bread, coleslaw, and tater sauce. There are other options like perch and bluegill. They also offer other menu items like burgers and sandwiches. Mari was a fantastic bartender/waitress/server.Parking: Free parking lot in back of the building.Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp leading to the backdoor off the parking lot in back. On door to enter.“
“Love love love their boneless wings. Lightly breaded and good amount of sauce. Always ask what the specail sauce is, they arent listed on the menu. Very well priced for the food and quality. Fun atmosphere with plenty of Bar space and/or longer high top tables to accomodate a group of adults comfortably. My fav sauce is the greek freak (bufflo/feta). Anytime we are in the area its a must stop for us.“
