“Went for the first time today for a doggo lunch date with muh fur baby. Wonderful staff and quick service. I noticed negative reviews complaining there was dogs, well no crap it’s the business model and there’s an actual picture of a dog on the door and logo. ANYWAYS price is a little steep but when I got my food holy cow it was delicious. And I love that they have dog friendly menu items available as well. The place is super clean for the amount of guests and animals that come through. Loved that the food pickup and service area is separate from dining. The only downfall was I did pay for pickles and there wasn’t any but I didn’t even notice it until I devoured the first half of my food. No big deal. I ordered the steak sandwich and strawberry limeade which I also love is made by hand with fresh fruit. My dog is now sleeping in a food coma as am I.“

Today, I finally had the chance to step into Jerseys Pub and Grill for my first official Fish Fry Lunch of Lent 2025! It's located at 4024 S Howell Ave, Milwaukee, WI 53207, and let me tell you – I’ve passed by this place countless times, but today, I finally got to experience it! What a hidden gem it turned out to be!
It all started when I met the owner, who just so happens to have a son at the same elementary school as my own. That’s when I discovered their Friday Fish Fry – a perfect addition to my Fish Fry Bucket List.
Now, let's dive into the mouthwatering menu options they offer on Fridays:
* Cod Fish Fry: Freshly cut lemon wedge, slaw, rye bread, and your choice of fries, potato wedges, or tater tots, all for $13.
* Fish Sandwich: Served with your choice of potato for $10.
* Shrimp Tacos: A flavorful delight for $9.50.
* Fish Tacos: Tasty and satisfying for $9.50.
* Shrimp Basket: Perfect for seafood lovers at $11.
From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by the owner’s warm and friendly demeanor – she made me feel right at home. Her impeccable service really set the tone for the whole experience.
As for the food – WOW! I was served three generously-sized pieces of cod, perfectly battered with just the right amount of crispiness, yet not oily at all (huge win!). I went with the potato wedges, and they were on point – golden brown, crispy on the outside, and warm & fluffy on the inside. The slaw wasn’t the creamy type I usually prefer, but it had a delightful, crisp flavor that paired perfectly with everything else.
All in all, this was a fantastic Fish Fry Lunch that I’d definitely recommend if you’re in the area and craving something new! Another Milwaukee gem to add to your list.“

“I was lucky enough to find Brothers opened in Easter, early afternoon and I was the only customer. Service was great and food was special also. My friend has lactose allergies, so does my waitress so she was helpful in letting me know that their burger buns are dairy free, this means a future trip to Brothers.“

They make first time visitors feel like long time regulars, and they always seem to know whether a person simply wants to drink in peace and quiet, or if they could use some conversation. Besides the staff, I’m a big fan of the fact that they can bake you a frozen pizza after their kitchen closes. Decent prices, exceptionally decent staff, and always a great time. Pool, darts, games, dice, jukebox, many tvs, a patio out back, picnic tables out front, and even a shuttle bus service (don’t know all the deets there). Go, tip, and be merry.“

“I'm from Milwaukee originally.......moved to Michigan about 9 years ago.....this weekend my boyfriend and I came to Milwaukee to catch a Bucks game and check out the newer things in Milwaukee. We stopped in to City Social and had an absolutely AMAZING time! The service was a 10 and everything from the atmosphere to the drinks to the hookah recommendation was amazing.
