This is one of my favorite restaurants! The Riverside has a great selection of appetizers, salads, sandwiches, and dinners. Their 12 oz sirloin is the BEST STEAK I have EVER had, and the Ellsworth deep fried cheese curds are well worth trying. The chicken items I've had were just average, but a friend got the turkey dinner, and it was like a holiday meal--lots of food, all good. They make their own dinner rolls, which are excellent, but what they are best at is meat--the pork chops are excellent, in addition to the beef and turkey. They also have very good salads. I would highly recommend them for lunch or dinner (I don't know if they serve breakfast). 10/25 ETA: Sold to new owners a couple of years ago and food and service appear to have gone downhill. Seems like maybe there aren't enough wait-staff to give prompt service, and everything we ordered (on several different visits) that had chicken in it was dried out and tough. We miss the old Corral.

We got the broasted chicken, french fries, batter fried cheese curds and onion rings for take out. It was all really good, but the best by far was the chicken! Food was ready exactly when I was told it would be and the person who rang me up was friendly and fast.

We decided to take our Jeep on a tour and go to the corral bar for our favorite walleye that we haven't had for a couple years, we got there and sat down and waited for a while before our waitress showed up to take our order We both ordered the walleye dinner and also my husband chose a salad for his side and I chose the soup We also ordered an appetizer of Ellsworth cheese curds, The iced tea took a while to get and the salad and soup did not show up for at least 20 minutes by that time we were really hungry The salad was extremely small and the soup was just okay, we were anticipating our appetizer of cheese curds and they never showed I had to get up and go ask by the waitresses window about them and she said well I'll bring them when they're done so like another 15 or more minutes goes by and they come out a very small order, okay so then my husband asked for another iced tea to bring out with his dinner while the walleye came out about 15 to 20 minutes later and it looked dried out but totally different batter which was a thin tasteless batter unlike what we had before which was more of a breaded type roasted big nice piece of walleye This was not it at that point I knew we had made a mistake anyway after me pulling three bones out of it and eating the overcooked baked potato We were willing to over an hour and 15 minutes and I told my husband nope we're not coming back This was not a good way to spend 70 bucks plus a tip and it is seemed that the waitresses honestly didn't care They were very young and we're very chatty with each other not paying much attention to their tables so it's a hard pass for us, sorry.

Have had good food here a few times in the past so we decided to take our jeep tour to Durand from Eau Claire, took a bit to get a server so we ordered the walleye dinner which we loved before, well after waiting for 30 minutes to get our salad which was very small and the soup that was blah, we were anticipating our cheese curds to come soon, nope, I had to go ask at the kitchen counter where the waitresses were busy chatting about their girl talk rather than checking on food, I was told they should be ready soon,so another 10 minutes she brought out a small portion of cheese curds, ok, well about another 20 minutes our walleye shows up and i looked at it and immediately knew that this was not the same as when we loved it before,ok, so the piece was broasted with a thin spiceless batter that had absolutely no flavor,the baked potato was overcooked,the little piece of lettuce that the fish sat on was turning brown on the corner, the young server seemed friendly but showed no concern for our refills of ice tea, husband had to ask twice,i never even bothered asking, I felt like we literally through $70 down the toilet, horrible food,small portions,long wait, crappy service, nope don't waste your hard earned money on this trash .

Our group of 3 arrived for lunch and decided to sit on the back deck overlooking the Chippewa River since it was such a beautiful day. I ordered a Spotted Cow and 8 oz. broasted codfish sandwich with lettuce, tartar sauce and served on a kaiser that comes with chips. It was a large portion that was perfectly cooked and not greasy. Our server was friendly and attentive. This is a good lunch spot!
Unfortunately we had a very bad time the food took an hour and 5 minutes to get to the table people who came in 15 minutes after us were served before we were. steak was very cold no flavor service was very very slow the bar was empty when we came in

We came on Sunday evening for dinner with another couple. Our young female waitress promptly got our drinks and took our food order. We then waited an hour and 15 minutes before our food arrived! After about 45 minutes, we asked the waitress for an estimated arrival time for our order. She said the kitchen was super slow with lots of broaster orders. The restaurant was not even 1/3 full so that didn’t seem reasonable. I asked the young waitress if anyone contacted the owners to let them know what was happening. There was food coming out of the kitchen at a snails pace, like one order every 10 or 15 minutes! The young staff seemed afraid to check with the cooks and were not well trained to deal with customers that were waiting an unreasonable amount of time. No effort was made to communicate with customers as to why things were so slow (we had to ask at the bar). No effort was made to make things right. That is on the owners. Horrible service!!
