My husband & I are in this area for the weekend. Randomly picked the Honey Bear for dinner and glad we did! The wallye that they serve everyday was extremely excellent and big portions. The service was fast and friendly. We'll definitely come back.

Wife and I are up this Labor day weekend for a local race and she booked us a campsite close by. She found this place and I sure am glad she did! We got there around 5 on a Friday. Place was packed. We put our names in and went to the bar. Had great conversations with almost everyone around us. The 1 ding on service was for the insane amount of time it took to get drinks. But being Labor day weekend, and having 1 bartender making countless old fashions, thats kind of understandable. Once seated, things went quickly. Food was perfect. I had the Walleye and my wife had the Cod. Prices were reasonable. We will definitely return! Thanks for a perfect Northwoods fish fry guys!!

I've been into honey bear quite a few times since moving here pre covid, and I've had such a pleasure meeting the bartender Lizzie and having great fun conversations. When I first came in, it was always packed and cramped and you almost felt rushed so the next person could get in to enjoy as well. After covid things kind of changed, but still the great place it was when first discovered. This girl really does make the bar atmosphere. She's funny, educated, quirky, and always has a smile no matter how busy or slow it is that day. Any drink she makes me(and trust me I've tested her), she doesn't fail, always mixed properly and absolutely delicious everytime. Which that's hard to find here. I find a lot of bartenders are over pouring, which destroys a good mixed drink. She is solely the reason I come back for a fish fry or a random drink. i cannot leave out Deb, because she's great at everything she does here and she's so spunky. Best 2 people in the front of house

We had a terrible experience on August 5th. The bartender had no idea how to make a margarita, we waited a very long time for our food, and I ordered a second drink and never got it, albeit i wasn't charged for it . They don't serve coleslaw with their fish fry anymore, and the French fries were cold. The fish itself was good. It seemed like a bunch of young kids were trying to operate the restaurant. Not good. It will be a long time before we try it again.

Solid spot in Eagle River, have been coming up to this area for years but this was my first time stopping in. Really good cheese curds, and their walleye was tasty. Big portions so come with an appetite!
