The place was a fantastic find. My wife and I took our kids on a trip to Kettle Moraine and stopped there to check it out. It was very family-friendly -- the owner took some time to chat with us and explained his process for making meads. It was super cool, the mead and food were delicious, and they hosted an outdoor movie the night we were there. We would definitely go back next time we are in that area!

I have to be honest…the mead was great! Super cute atmosphere and I even got to talk to the owner who shared that his wife keeps the bees that provide all the honey for their mead. How cool! Except that’s a lie. After coming here for the first time I was so excited to tell my really close friends (who are beekeepers) about it because I thought they would love it. Turns out, my beekeeper friends actually provide the majority of the honey needed at this meadery. Small world! So if you’re on the hunt for great mead made with really great honey, definitely go here! I just think it’s really important for small businesses to be transparent and I wish the owner would give the credit where it’s due.

Our nonprofit organized a small event at the Hive Taproom and we were so impressed with the taproom and outdoor gathering space. The owner, Ayla, spoke on beekeeping and we are hearing nothing but praise for her presentation. The mead was extremely refreshing on a hot summer day and tasted delicious.
This is truly a gem in our community.
