It is closed in Eau Claire and not signs saying that. The strip mall is locked. The Chippewa Falls site is under the Royal Buffet name and is being remodeled.

Food is no where near the Food Safe Certification temps..2nd time I've been back from the first incident of luke warm food, only to encounter it again today. Sorry China Buffet, several of us complained last time, I see no change..ALL FOOD MUST BE KEPT AT A SAFE TEMP IN ORDER TO BE SAFELY EATEN!

The food was fine, but I couldn't help feeling uncomfortable while I ate. The server who brought my friend and I our drinks muttered too much and I couldn't understand him, and it made interactions awkward. I distracted myself with the food, but it was hard to tell what was what because some of the name cards for the food were missing. The food seemed to be just thrown out there without much care, and the service was terrible. There aren't any ice cream cones for the soft serve ice cream either, which is a staple thing for buffets to do. Probably the most disruptive thing about my meal was the fact that one of the other workers was sitting at a table, eating the food, and watching some show on his phone. The volume was cranked pretty high and it was very annoying. I know the restaurant was relatively empty, but I felt unvalued as a customer. I didn't feel the experience was worth the money I payed, and the tip I left reflects my feelings towards the restaurant. Wouldn't come back if there was a gun to my head. Worst buffet in Eau Claire.
This used to be one of our go to places. We have not been happy the last few time we have been there. They do not have lemons for tea or are very stingy with them when they do. Many items were not very hot and there isn't ever a change in options. They do have really good crab rangoons and mai fun. Staff not always on top of removing plates or refilling beverages.

This was my go to place for a good meal at a good price, but lately (the last 4 visits over about 3 months) the server will take your first dirty plate (acctually clean, I waste nothing) and refill your drink once then just disappear for the rest of my stay. They are not at all busy they just don't care. Well if they expect any tip you'd better make some effort in the process. I have always enjoyed the selection (small by some standards) of food and it's quality along with the price, but the service has fallen off to the point that my money can be better spent elsewhere. One shouldn't have to sit there with 2-3 plates in front of them and an empty glass sucking away at melted ice while the same person that initially waited on you sits back and plays with his phone ignoring you in the process. I'm through. This place is not worth my time and money any longer.
