Don’t plan on enjoying your meal if you order around close! I showed up 35 mins before close to find all the chairs up in the lobby (they didn’t offer to put them down while I waited for my order) there was 2 extremely chatty and rude teenage girls working the line who made side comments about me walking through the door ‘right before close’. IF YOUR HOURS SAY YOUR OPEN TILL 9, YOUR OPEN TILL 9. Getting a to go order a half hour before you close should not be an issue. Then the two teenage girls couldn’t be bothered to take my order cuz again they were too involved in their own conversation and rolling their eyes to take it.

I very sweet lady came to take my order and even offered to give me a large drink instead of my medium. I would’ve left a 20% tip like I always do, but I didn’t want it split between the nice lady who DID HER JOB and was very sweet about it with the gossipy teenage girls so I handed the lady cash and told her to keep it for herself.

The teenagers then took 20 mins to make my order as they stopped making (my one sandwich!) to ask the other one what they said in an obnoxiously loud tone several times then followed it up with “No Dude, straight up, I don’t even care about the customers. I just wanted to know what you said…” I didn’t mind standing there waiting 20 mins for the sandwich, that’s what happens in fast food. But to spend the 20 mins listening to the drama in their lives the entire time and be mean mugged for showing up 30 mins before close ruins the entire experience of eating here. There was only one other group of people (they got to sit on chairs) there while I was in here. It wasn’t busy.

I remember everytime you used to walk through the doors of firehouse subs you were cheerfully greeted by the staff and the person working the counter was always happy to take your order no matter what time it was, how busy they were or how much you ordered. This is a far cry from that atmosphere, and that sucks.

This franchise has got to be loosing customers/sales like crazy, cuz there’s no way a lot of people would put up with it. I’m not saying I’ll never eat here again, but when the time comes that I give it another chance, I’ll be sure to order online and during the dayshift.

I know it’s hard to find good people that want to work, but having people work that represent your brand in such a way that ruins the experience of eating there, eventually those crappy team members will only continue to get paid by the company they are single handily taking sales from…I’d be looking to hire better quality people…

UPDATE:
I went back intentionally at the same time a week and half later and had a much better experience. Staff was professional and friendly. Food was excellent. Was like it used to be when they first opened. Store looked clean as well. Idk if other TM’s still work there or not, but the team they had tonight I’d definitely come back to! Keep up the great work

They always get my order correct! Ample amount of meats. Total cost for a combo (medium sub, chips & a medium drink) is about 15$ which is a steal these days. The turkey bacon ranch is SOOOO MAGICAL.

Sub had no meat on the end of sandwich,so about 4 bites have no meat, 👎not going back at$13 not worth it!

If open till 9... why are all the stools up at 7 on Friday night? Not welcoming. Food is amazing! Staff needs to understand what open to 9 means.

Employees are so friendly every time I come here. They hustle! And they do a great job keeping the dining area clean. The Hook and Ladder sub is my fav but the salad is HUGE and amazing too! Great job guys!

I have never had a bad experience here. I've worked in food service and I can be very picky and not just about the food. The first thing that will make me turn around and walk out is cleanliness. And I'm not talking messy tables and floors after a rush. If you work in food service you know what to look past and to look for. If you can get me through the door, you better now have a good tasting quality product and you better smile when you take my order. I've never had a bad experience here.

Wet sloppy mess of a sandwich. Uneven distribution of lettuce tomato and meats. The bread is completely saturated in whatever meat juices. Too much of everythin, none of it good. my hands are completely soaked thanks to this sandwich. Didn't even know there was sauce on it until i was just about finished. And the sandwich wasn't cut, so it was long wet and sloppy. Even through the wrap i still got dirty. And it just tasted gross, normally i wouldn't reccomend arbys, but its arbys quality at triple the price.

The staff behind the counter at the Eau Claire location are the best team in the city. I’ve ran into issues with the app, and they were more than happy to help me. There are countless sub-sandwich places, but this location is the only one with heart. The way you’re greeted walking in/out the door, is like you’re an old friend or family. They go above and beyond every chance that I’ve seen. They do an excellent job of listening to their guests, and making sure they get exactly what they want, in a timely fashion. I’ve never left a sub-shop with a bigger smile or satisfied stomach. All of these folks work very hard, and it’s noticed by every customer that gets to enjoy the FHS culture they so perfectly convey.

I love the smoked brisket sub they have here and that's what I order every time. It's really good and service is pretty fast with a little bit of a wait time if it is busier. Though, it seems like the prices have gone up a lot in the past couple of years, but oh well.
