Seating can be difficult when they are busy, but food is always amazing! I've probably been to Grand Ave Cafe 100+ times and there have been maybe 2-3 times where I was a bit disappointed. The most recent time (two weekends ago,) was one of those times... We had a group of 8 people, all of which were split up into tables of two, and our drinks took 30 minutes to arrive at our table and food took another 30 minutes to arrive at our table after that. Normally I wouldn't complain, but for how busy they were when we arrived (half of the tables were taken,) I feel the extended waiting times, especially for a cup of coffee was a bit ridiculous. On top of that our servers all seemed like they were having a bad day with little to no communication or friendliness. The only saving grace was that our food was wonderful. That day I would have given them a 2/10, every other time I've been there 9-10/10.

Vanilla Italian cream soda. Chicken and wild rice is truly excellent, served with a BLT and pickle 💕 phenomenal Pina colada bread pudding in the center and breakfast and iced latte for my partner. The eggs were cooked correctly and the potatoes were crisp. We came at a perfect time in the morning to sit outside with the dogs and it was just a lovely all around experience.

I ordered hashbrowns with veggies. The food was prepared quickly with no issues. Very friendly staff. Special shout out to Laney for her calm and helpful demeanor towards customers. I'll definitely be back.

Hands down one of my absolute favorite cafes to visit in Eau Claire. Their breakfast menu is top notch and so is their lunch menu. Service is ALWAYS so good and the server I had today was SUCH a sweetheart. If you’re visiting Eau Claire or live here and haven’t come here for breakfast or lunch, you’re missing out!!! I got their southwest chicken wrap, chicken wild rice soup, with chips and a pickle. Everything was made to order and comes out hot/fresh.
Parking: Free street parking and Parking next to the court n house.

A grand old 5 stars here. An absolute treasure in the heart of Eau Claire. Just a walk away from the courthouse this makes for an excellent place to get lunch at a great price.
Outdoor seating during the season and a most wonderfully warm and delightful staff.
The cafe itself has a cozy atmosphere, but I would shy away if you have sensory needs as things can get cramped and loud inside.
Wheelchair accessibility: Not accessible do to how cramped it is, but if you call ahead I'm sure you could get assistance.
