It’s awesome to have great restaurants in downtown Eau Claire. This place is great. Authentic food. Delicious. It’s clean. The staff is friendly. You know it’s great when it’s busy and this place is busy A LOT. But…the service is still quick. If you’re a local or visiting you should definitely eat here.

Imagine this. You are traveling with your posse and all decide to get some food. You See this restaurant with a few hundred reviews and a high rating so you decide it must be top tier. The nachos look like they use tortilla chip rounds you find at the local bowling alley or Kids sports arena. The lettuce looks like it's pre cut bagged. The meat was dry. I'll give them extra points because the salsa they give you was really good, but it was in a container so small it didn't last half my burrito. Outside of that, it was alright. I wouldn't say 5 stars knock it out of the park. But definitely not in contention of going again as a tourist.

We stopped in due to the very high reviews we’ve seen. I can only assume they are all paid reviewers. The food was bland and dried out. Not nearly enough salsa provided to give it any flavor. Nothing seemed fresh. More expensive than most quick service burrito shops, but no where near as good. Too many other options around town to consider ever returning.

I moved away from Eau Claire two years ago and guac and roll had just opened as I was moving. I had it a few times and it was ok. But coming back, it might be the best Mexican place in Eau Claire! I had a few others already on my trip back and Guac and roll has been better than them all. Their salsas and the meat options are the highlight for me and the freshness of the veggies only helps. Highly recommend.

The birria was great if way too mild for my taste . However, the guac was bland, the rice was worse then just plain, it was hard. All of this for a 13 dollar burrito. There's several places in town with better tex mex for cheaper. Like casa verarta and burrito express

Holy sh!t this was good! Food, service, and atmosphere was super welcoming. I’ve eaten at EVERY Mexican food place in town and this is my new go to. I got the Extra Fire salsa and it was HOT HOT, which is exactly what I was hoping for. A lot of places in town the hot sauce isn’t hot. My wife said the mild hit sauce was too spicy for her, it was cool and refreshing for me.
