One of the best coffee joints in Eau Claire. Go for the waffles, stay for the cool bike vibes. Great iced mocha, great cookies, awesome place to study or get work done. Nicest baristas and such a welcoming place.

Shift is okay over all and I will keep going back. But be prepared to wait ten minutes for your drink when no one is in line as well as have regular milk in your latte when you pay for oat or being over charged for things.

Stopped in quickly to grab a coffee, tea and vegan treat and loved all three. Everyone working was so friendly and they helped us with a couple of recommendations to check out while we’re in Eau Claire. Highly recommend the iced caramel latte and grabbing a table to do some work!

I've been a frequent flyer of Shift for a long time, covid messed that up. Then just life. I'm very sad to hear the bike shop is gone.
It felt like another piece of the puzzle, ride down, get coffee, maybe a liege waffle if they weren't out and go hang out on the bike side.
Sometimes I'd be there just reading.
The bike side loss comes at a steep price for me unfortunately. I'll still stop in, but I'll have to take my bike elsewhere now.
We have a book club that meets every 6 weeks. We like to try local places for our meetings. They were so accommodating and kind, the coffee was amazing, and the overall atmosphere was very cool! We will definitely be back!

A fun coffee/bike shop to hang out in. It can be busy, but there is usually a spot to sit that is a little quieter if you like. Good variety of options, including some sandwiches and breakfast items. A few gluten free options available. I love that their loose leaf tea is serving in a French press on a tray with a mug!

SHIFT is a really neat coffee / bike repair shop combo! I stopped by while on a visit to Eau Claire and had a great experience. While I can't really speak to the repair shop side, I thought their coffee bar was excellent and really enjoyed the seasonal latte I tried. The drink was called “Liquid Gold”—it really lived up to that name, with a super interesting blend of maple syrup and golden turmeric powder. I thought it was delicious! The service was decent enough and I thought their space was really beautiful. It had a chic, industrial vibe with exposed brickwork and nice art on the walls. I definitely recommend stopping by to check it out if you're in the area!
