Great food. Stopped here for lunch which ended up being brunch and enjoyed it so much we'd have eaten those breakfast foods for dinner. Excited to get back and try their real dinner menu.

The food was very good. They were closing early when we sat down, so it felt a little rushed, but overall it was a good experience. I had the turkey burger, others had the pimento Ruben and smash burgers. Everyone enjoyed the food. The potato app with garlic ailoi was great.

We were in town for a concert and we’re impressed with this restaurant. Our server, Austin, was phenomenal. Very energetic and upbeat and the food was amazing. HIGHLY recommend the hush puppies!

The food was excellent! The service was attentive and friendly. We were able to enjoy the fabled krabby patty coffee mug with our breakfast lol. Loved the whole experience.

We loved this place so much that we went back on our second trip to Eau Claire. Everything we’ve eaten there was delicious! (I still think about the fried house-pickled vegetables, which were unfortunately a seasonal special.)

Between the awesome experience provided by the staff (thanks Jared and Tyler) and the exquisite food, this was a PERFECT evening full of food, laughs, and fun. The menu is full of familiar items but elevated in delightful ways. Our chickpea guac (guacuss and chips) was delectable and complemented by house-made crunchy tortilla chips. The papas fritas were crispy and seasoned perfectly with a sauce that brought a nice fresh/light herbal flavor to the party. And the crispy sprouts were just over the top flavorful with the bacon and goat cheese atop sprouts roasted to perfection.Dessert?! Yes please! Apple streusel cheesecake is what came. Did we have room for it? No. Did we lick the plate clean? YES!Would love the see the restaurant continue to feature fun and unique menu items from the talented head chef. We will be back, for sure. Maybe we will order fewer apps and have room for an entrée! ?

My sisters and I stopped for breakfast on Saturday and since we had a furry friend with, sat on the patio. We started with some breakfast mock/cocktails: an apple margarita, apple mule + 5mg Delta 9, and ginger toddy. They were exceptional. Since everything on the menu sounded fantastic, we ordered items to share: Buzzard Breakfast (the best sausage links and toast that have seen the insides of our mouths), Breakfast Burrito (Phenomenal. Chorizo added a kick and the cheese sauce was dynamite), Cider Waffle (Magic in the mouth. Flavorful. Waffles can be dry – this one didn’t even need the syrup), and Breakfast Nachos (The chips were smothered in toppings and didn't get soggy. What is this sorcery? Love guacamole but Cranky's guacuss beats it out flavor wise.). Our server, Preslie, was friendly and attentive; customer service was top-notch and the wait for food was only about 20 minutes. Prices are comparable to other establishments. We’ll be back!

At first glance, The Cranky Buzzard appears to be a rather average bar with a kitchen. I was pleasantly surprised to see that their seasonally rotating menu was far more adventurous than I expected. The quality of the ingredients and complexity of the dishes are in striking contrast to the decor. Not that the ambiance is bad, it's just a bar vibe. Outdoor seating is available inside a privacy fence. It feels airy without feeling oppressive. Our wait staff was attentive but, our lunch did take quite a while for some reason. That could be for various reasons so, I'm not complaining about it.I didn't look at the drink selection but, they do have a drinks menu.Parking can be limited in that area depending on the time of day or if there are any events going on in the area.Prices were fair, lunch was tasty and, we will happily return for another meal!

This place could not be more on point. They are curating some phenomenal things in the kitchen! Wanted to try the homemade desert but couldn't stop eating the main course...so next time! Everyone was incredibly friendly and fun to chat with!

First off, the service was amazing. Our server was kind, endearing and attentive. He was the best part of our experience. Unfortunately, the food left a lot to be desired. My partner got the grilled cheese apple sandwich. The bread looked exactly like wonderbread and the cheese wasn't even melted. The sandwich and fries cost $12.50, which wasn't worth it.My schwarma tasted really good! The issues were a small hard thing that I couldn't bite through that I found in the sandwich and a mushroom slice that wasn't supposed to be in there (I really hate mushrooms). I paid the extra $3 for papa's fritas, but was left wondering why they cost extra. They were like their regular fries, but in a different shape and salted to heck. The aioli sauce was great though! My meal cost $19.50 including the upgrade which still feels a little over priced.I think they were having an off day. Our server mentioned the kitchen was quite busy. While I don't think we will be back, I still think it's worth a try. The concept is there and the locally sourced ingredients is what more restaurants should be doing.

The food was great, the service was okay. I am glad to have a new place that is serving something other than the typical pub faire. That said when we go again I will be insisting we eat outside, the musty smell almost made me walk out, it was very strong, and off putting.

Vegetarian/vegans beware, they have a lot of veg options but check your food before you take a bite, even when I asked for the vegetarian alternative, they mixed it with actual meat and my friend had the same experience there. For being a veg friendly restaurant you would think they would be more careful. It wasn't even busy when I went so there is no excuse. Very disappointing....

It was very difficult for 3 of the 4 of us to find a meal we were interested in trying. The other person was vegan so they ordered the only vegan dish on the menu. The food choices were very “unique” and not to our taste. Not saying all of the food was bad, it just wasn’t normal food combinations and didn’t taste very good to us. Our server was not attentive and we went most of our meal without water.

Positives: The chicken and waffles were excellent as well as the Server was great.Negatives: My wife decided to try the special “Brisket”. Unfortunately it was so bad it was not edible as it was so tough you could not cut it or chew it. You clearly could see the slices were quite fatty as well. Overall I would compare the texture to a Michelin tire. The server did ask on behalf of the chef what my wife didn’t like about it which seem like an odd question being that it was very obvious with tasting it something went terribly wrong in its preparation. I would like to point out the server was willing to replace with another dish and also discounted one of our drinks for the inconvenience!Overall disappointing for that $25.00 dish but would say this place is okay for bar food, cool drink menu and service!

I originally planned on taking out my dinner, as I was on a long road trip. I decided to look at the food in the container before I left and made the decision to stay and try the food right there and I was floored. I had the sloppy joe, which had pickled apples and arugula. Needless to say, it was the best sloppy joe I’ve ever had. The staff were so sweet and patient but also so much fun to talk to. I’ll be stopping by there when I pass through again next year undoubtably.
