Growler Guys is an Eau Claire fixture. When I lived in Eau Claire, this was my regular hang out and I met the love of my life here (no guarantees - but give it a try!) The owner is a stand up guy and the staff really cares about customer experience. It’s a true community spot and even on days off as a busy resident physician, I found myself volunteering for the community events (Mother’s day, Easter, Thanksgiving, etc.) If you are young/new parents, you and your children are so welcome! If you’re single or childless and just want to meet new friends, don’t think twice. For those who limit or don’t drink alcohol, there are plenty of alternatives. This was the first place I ever visited when I moved to Eau Claire (peri-pandemic) and the last place I bid farewell to when I moved. It will always have a special place in my heart. Run, don’t walk folks!
Good sandwich and wings, but only nacho cheese, even on the Philly, and the fries and soft pretzel were meh. Fast friendly service though!

Great staff, great place, great beer. The food is as good or better than what you would expect from a place that isn't actually a restaurant. I'm looking forward to our next visit.
Kid-friendliness: This is a place for beer. That said, it is relatively kid friendly for a place for beer. There's food that kids will eat, board games, and plenty of space. We brought my 12 year old son with us to play cards. The staff went above and beyond to help him find a kid appropriate drink he could enjoy. (He hates carbonation.) The table beside us also had their son there playing cards. Obviously, if I were taking all my kids out to eat or for a fun family activity night, this wouldn't be on the list; but I wouldn't hesitate to let my older kids accompany me to play a card/board game or just sit with us and drink a soda and talk. I guess the best way to say it is if your kids are old enough to do fine at a place that isn't for kids, then they will do fine here, and it won't be awkward or have any anti-kid vibe or anything like that. But if your kids aren't going to do well in that environment, then let them stay home. We had a lot of fun playing cards. If we hadn't been planning to play cards, my wife and I would have come by ourselves.

I found this spot while looking to take a break during a long trip across the country. Beautiful interior, with plenty of rooms and a great patio to spread out into. A truly impressive tap list with plenty of details is displayed digitally behind the large bar. It makes ordering a breeze. The menu looked decent, and if I have the chance to return, I look forward to trying the curd-tastrophe pizza! I wish more areas had local bars like this because you could see the community they had built in the city between their listed event nights and the number of locals there hiding away from the heat.

We just stopped in on a quick trip from North Dakota and I wish we had something like this back home! The lady working was awesome and the selection was amazing. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. I will certainly be back. We purchased 6 growlers by the time we left, the service was next level!

Do you have to be 21 to eat there?
The beer selection is amazing. 48 rotating taps plus cider and kombucha. More beer in cans for onsite consumption or to go. Crowlers and growlers to go. Decent menu. The pizza is great. Events most weeknights like bingo, trivia, featured brewery Wednesdays/. Friendly, knowledgeable staff.
