The food was awesome. Family owned restaurant and the cook and/or owner came out and was showing our kids how to dance. Made it a really fun night for

This family seems like nice people. The food was salty, but not terrible. But they do not know how to run a restaurant. There were 3 of us, and they were out of something that each of us wanted. My wife's fajitas came out without tortillas, and it was several minutes before the tortilla's came out while her food got cold, even after I asked for them. They served my food 5 minutes before the rest of the table, so I either had to eat impolitely, or watch my food get cold while I waited.

Better food than MC DONALDS !8 Bad Reviews From 131 Reviews Just Tell You Some Customers Have Bad Taste. And Forgot Its A Family Business. Yeah, You Gotta Wait Especially If Its Busy. And Just Because Its On Its Way To 5 Stars Don't Mean They Have A Luxurious Look. Everything Is Cooked & Done Fresh! Bare Withe Cook! And Employees! Thank You!
Excellent authentic Mexican food! Very fresh ingredients and quite tasty. Unlike the other typical Mexican restaurants in the area, the food is prepared fresh, so it takes a little longer, but it is worth the wait. I really appreciated the homemade tortilla chips with fresh pico instead of stereotypical salsa .. highly recommend!

Came in 25 minutes before close. Amazing service. Ordered the torta al pastor to go. Highly recommend. Had a lime margarita on the rocks while I waited. Food came out as I was finishing it.

A hidden gem. The spice levels are crazy good adding to the flavor. Surprisingly no chorizo but what they have - they have the best. Excellent service. Great Nachos, tacos, fajitas and more.

The sign doesn't say Tierra Caliente, but look at my pic and that's the place. Good food, friendly employees, and good prices.

Huge portions of food! Something is wrong if you leave this place hungry. Great food, friendly people. The building itself could use some updating and fixing.
You'll see the big sign for the place that was here before, but you're in the right place, don't worry!Went in planning to do takeout, but decided to do dine-in. Honestly, our ONLY criticism is that some decor would probably help liven up the place a bit.Other than that, experience was great.Wide variety of MX sodas to try, though we both went with the classic bottled Mexican Coke. Chips for the appetizer are obviously fried in house, and the pico was crisp and fresh. I got the Quesadilla Asada, and it's the best I've had in the area since the La Luna restaurant changed hands a while back. Steak was cut thin and crispy, and the portion was big enough I could take half home. Partner got the Tacos el Pastor, which I had a bit of to try and it also tasted flavorful. We didn't know about the flan or elote/esquites and my partner has missed getting those back home, so we'll definitely be returning in the future. ?

Can't beat Taco Tuesday, especially at Tierra Caliente Restaurant. The tacos and fajitas were delicious and the service was wonderful. We will definitely be going back.

Their green and red salsa are fire. The menu is small but the family environment and friendliness makes you feel like you are at your tia's house. Wish they had elotes and mangonadas tho!!!
