I received a virtual coupon for a buy I burger meal, get the 2nd burger free. Great bargain I thought, so.off inwent to pick up the 2 Poppa burgers. Upon ordering, the cashier had no idea as to how to take the coupon, so the manager came over & entered it for her. I paid for my order & left when it was ready.I got home, & I realized I was not only overcharged on my order, but also did not receive the 2 sodas I should have gotten with thev2 meals as well. My order should have been to pay for the 1 Poppa meal, plus the fries I ordered for the supposed free 2nd Poppa burger, as well as 1 soda for that free 2nd burger. My order was almost $23 because I was basically charged for that 2nd burger. When I realized the managers error, I called immediately, speaking with the manager who rang me up. She assured me she woukdcrefund the money, & send it to me via mail.Well, I never received that refund. So i was out not only 2 sodas, 1 that should've come with the meal, but also 1 that I was charged for, & my free Poppa burger. & now I can't even call, as they are closed for the season. Perhaps all staff & management need to be schooled not only on how to take virtual coupons, but on the importance of good customer service at the location in Edgerton on Main St.They have lost a valued customer, as my family & I would order from there several times per month, as we live in town. I'm still pretty ticked off about the entire incident, & will let my friends & family know not to patronize the restaurant in Edgerton any longer.

Sunshine On a Cloudy Day

Didn't eat, just got drinks and floats, but wow! They had quick, carry out service. The root beer was awesome of course, and the floats were amazing. Everything was ice cold on a hot day! It was brought. To us by a girl with a friendly hello and a smile. You couldn't ask for anything more? It is great to be treated like a friend and not a number.

It's been a while since I've been to this location and was a little bit disappointed. The food is still good but they no longer bring the tray to your carxand place it on the window as they did. Everything comes in just a regular paper bag! I asked about it and was told it was because people are stealing the mugs and the trays!. The root beer isn't even served in a frosty mug, it's just a regular paper cup! There's nothing fun about going there. I mean, the whole beauty of the tray on the window was that you could eat your food in your car and have a tray to sit it on now it's just like any other fast food restaurant! They've got to come up with a way to bring it back to the way easily. Maybe even charginf a deposit for the tray and the mug. I would be willing to pay that if I wanted that service in fact, I did buy a mug. So I A&W, I hope you will read this and consider that-- just make it an option. People can pay a deposit to get the tray and the route beer in a frosted mug.I realize that there may be some reading this review who have no clue what I'm even referring to. And that's really sad, but it was a fun idea and concepts when they did it.By the way, their cheese curds are really good -especially for being a fast food place. If you think Culver's cheese curds are good ( which I don't), in my opinion, they are much, much better!

I got their double cheeseburger, root beer float, and cheese curds. They were all delicious! Truly American food!

The little place is a gem. Great food, cold root beer, and friendly staff. It still has the original charm of the building as it has kept the main dining area maintained but classic. Food comes out pretty fast once ordered.

Love this place!!! Great food, good service. This place looks like the A$W's of the 60's. I love that they employ local students. Always a nice treat for visiting guests.

My girlfriend and I took her granddaughter and her granddaughters brother to this restaurant after spending a day on a farm petting animals, going for a the hayride, etc. That means two adults, a 14-year-old boy with a big appetite, and an almost two year old girl. We ordered just under $40 worth of food. I personally ordered the root beer with my meal. I specified "original root beer in a frosty mug." The teenager ordered a root beer float, which also happens to come in a frosty mug. When I ordered the kids meal, I neglected to specify the drink. After we chose a table and waited a few minutes, I went up to the counter and asked about the kids meal and more specifically, what drink the slip said was coming with it since I forgot to specify. They said if nobody specifies, it's always going to be root beer. I asked the gentleman if they could switch that to milk for me and he said that would be just fine, that they would do that. I went back to the table and we all were sitting around chatting about the day for a couple minutes, then the food came out.All the sandwiches were correct (and delicious!) and the kids meal food was correct as well. However, the two frosty mugs that came out were both root beer floats. Now I enjoy the root beer floats for sure, but I ordered root beer because I like having just soda with my meal. Even so, I had no intentions of making a fuss about it because I'm just not that kind of person. Nevertheless, I did ask about the charge at least because I know that the root beer float would cost more. I wasn't going to worry about it because even if they did overcharge, that is if they did charge for the float, I got a float and so the right amount of money was paid for what we actually received, regardless of what I actually ordered. After they brought a root beer out for the little one, I asked them about the milk because it was a different person than I had talked to previously regarding that matter. She apologized and said she'd fix it, then walked away.A minute later or so, she returned, along with a manger. They brought a fresh root beer for me (even though I told her the float is ok, I'll still drink it), a cup of milk, and an extra french fry. I mean an order of fries (can you imagine them bringing a single fry? I would have genuinely laughed, probably hysterically, and accepted it! ??) Oh yeah, and if that weren't enough, the manager also gave me 72 cents to cover the difference in price between the root beer and the float! I was incredibly grateful, of course, but as I said before, I was also content with what I received. The manager again apologized for the errors. I told her it's totally fine, none of them were earth shattering and we were ok with it. The milk was my only must have as far as corrections go because I'm not giving soda to a toddler. I also thanked her profusely. I repeated my contentment with the root beer float. She said to keep it and the root beer, stating that refills are free and anything I don't finish can be poured into a to go cup so I don't waste or lose any. Both the manager and the young lady who delivered our order in the first place were so kind, accommodating, and seemed to genuinely care about the customer experience. As a long time employee of many customer service jobs myself, I believe I can usually tell the difference between the fake customer service smile and the genuine desire to provide good service. They were both genuine as far as I could tell. My only regret is not getting their names so I could properly acknowledge their exemplary service and care.In addition, all the food was excellent! Fries were fresh, burger was hot and fresh and tasted amazing and everyone in my group agrees. Overall, it was an excellent, amazingly delightful experience! ???Kid-friendliness: They have high chairs and booster seats for the little customers. They also have an entire menu of kids meals. I'm not sure if this applies to all of them, but the chicken tenders kids meal came with a coupon for a free scoo

Came in yesterday around 4:30. I live 40 minutes away so this was a treat for the kids. I was the only person in line. They weren’t busy and there were six girls working behind the counter-most of them leaning on the counter scrolling through their phones. I very slowly placed my order because I wanted to make sure she got that three of the sandwiches were plain. After an inordinately long time I was handed my order and I thought, “It’s not busy, and it took so long, there’s no way they messed up”, so I didn’t check the order. Get home all the sandwiches were made with everything on them. This wasn’t even a large order-three sandwiches, two hotdogs, two curds-maybe hire people who will work instead of standing around gossiping or scrolling through their phones. Thanks for ruining my families dinner.
