My husband and I went here for lunch and made it as far as the bathroom. It was dark walls with very dim lightly and it smelled like pee. I couldn't really see because of the dim lighting but I thought the hand dryer looked stained so I took this picture with the flash on. I was so disgusted that I couldn't even eat there.

The new waitress from Germany was awesome, but the food was not. I am positive the overuse of garlic was meant to kill me. The drinks were ok. best part of the meal was the slice of watermelon, and the ice water . First time last time. It was the most expensive worst meal i have had in a long time.

I wanted to share some honest feedback about our recent experience at Mezzanine. We dined with you last night to celebrate my 27th birthday, looking forward to the ambiance, cocktails, and food. Unfortunately, our evening was dampened by the service we received, which felt cold and inattentive from start to finish.
After waiting several minutes for anyone to acknowledge us, our server finally arrived and took our drink order. When the drinks came, my boyfriend’s cosmo was spilled all over the menu and his leg. Accidents happen—but the lack of a sincere apology or any acknowledgment made the moment unnecessarily uncomfortable.
We then waited quite a while for her to return and take our food order. We requested the white fish cakes to share, a burger for him, and the ahi tuna for me. After another long wait—about 45 minutes—our entrees arrived without the appetizer. Again, there was no explanation or apology. The food itself was excellent, thankfully, but the forgotten appetizer showed up after our entrees were finished. We picked at it, and when we asked for it to be boxed up, we were returned just one full cake—no sign of the half-eaten one. It felt careless.
Look, we understand the service industry is tough—I've worked in it myself. Mistakes happen. But what really stood out was the attitude: our server seemed inconvenienced by our presence, and it cast a shadow over what should have been a joyful celebration. It also felt jarring compared to the warm hospitality we’re used to in the Midwest.
We love supporting local spots and really wanted to have a memorable evening. I hope this feedback is taken constructively—your food and setting have so much potential, and I’d love to come back under better circumstances.

When it's 85 degrees and you have no air conditioning I would suggest not seating people indoors. It was miserable and I felt terrible for your staff having to work through it. We ordered a drink and appetizer because we didn't want to stiff the guy and ate somewhere else. Plus there were one billion flies because of the heat. A terrible experience and I almost never leave reviews.

Fantastic rooftop dining experience! The view of the harbor and large table seating made the perfect backdrop for a relaxing lunch with a larger group. The menu was good, and the service was top-notch—attentive, friendly, and fast. A great spot for catching up with friends or family. Recommend if you’re looking for great food with a view!

Love this restaurant! Nathan and his friendly staff provided excellent service for the entire season. The whitefish chowder is the best we have ever eaten anywhere. View is great inside or out. Everything we ordered on the menu was excellent. Looking forward to eating there next season.

Had a nice lunch on a blustery day, grilled Reuben and the Whitefish chowder. A couple of cocktails and enjoyed the view of the lake. Service was good, the restaurant was not too busy - coffee shop and chocolate shop out front.

This place is a hidden gem overlooking the water, and while I was there mid-week during a slower time of year, my meal was outstanding! I started upstairs on the open-air deck, but noticed several bees, so I went back downstairs and chose a table by the window so I could see the harbor.
Their menu options are amazing, and many consist of whitefish which is very common in Door County. They all looked delicious, but I chose the Cremini Mushroom Linguine with shrimp. It's made in a white wine cream sauce and topped with grated parmesan cheese. It was probably the best pasta dish I have EVER had! Hearty portion, and a slice of lemon & sunflower bread. Bravo!
The only downside is there isn't much parking, and I presume during peak season it is hard to find parking.

Unbeatable views of bay with nice vibe. May have been isolated experience, but they were sold out of what were my top 5-6 beer selections, no lagers, wheat beers, etc, with only the heaviest of beers, porters and such remaining. How can that be? Got a beer which wasn't cold. Appeared to have a decent wine selection. Very limited appetizer menu, but didn't stay to eat due to drink situation.
