Enjoyed the lavish Sunday brunch buffet and the extraordinary beauty of the Log Den building itself, with its clever woodland ani.als carved right the logs. Service was excellent. We were surprised that the price had gone up to $30 apiece, but it is worth it!

First time to the Log Den last weekend. I sampled 3 different tap beers. All were flat and flavorless. Ordered the Reynards cheese curds. So disappointing. They arrived over fried, scattered on a plate and served with a watered down ranch dressing. Atmosphere was amazing but drinks and appetizers left much to be desired!

We had a wedding rehearsal dinner here. The owner was passive aggressive and rude to each table as he went around serving and telling us that “you being 45 minutes late made us have to serve three groups at the same time…”
I get it. I’d be frustrated and stressed too.
But there IS a professional way to say that the reason service is slow is because we were late…but there was no apology (I didn’t expect one, but that’s how I’d have handled the situation.) No kind explanation. Just an angry man running around.
The owner was rude to my husband as well. I was disappointed with the lack of kindness and professionalism demonstrated by the OWNER.
The staff that I interacted with were fine.
The food was slightly less than average tasting.
I will not be going back willingly ever. (I’ve been here before, and was not impressed with food quality for the price before. I did not pay for this meal so I don’t know what the value for the money spent was).

Our party was admittedly very late for our scheduled event (wedding rehearsal dinner). The owner was very passive aggressive and went around to every table telling us “Being 45 minutes late for your reservation time made us have to serve three parties at the same time…”
Which I understand. He was also very rude to my husband.
I even offered to help (like go to the bar to get water pitcher refills for the tables) and was told not to.
I understand being stressed out by our lateness - but there is a professional way to say that without being passive aggressive to all the guests - it wasn’t MY fault that we were all so late. But the owner made me FEEL like he was punishing me for it.
The food was okay. I won’t go there by choice ever again.

The food here was so so good. We had the perch, the walleye, bbq rib and white fish! All were exceptional and the service was top notch! If you haven’t tried this place, do it! It is great!
Service was great. Food was terrible and over priced. Food tasted like it was old and warmed up, and it was still cold. We ate here 3 years ago and the place was packed and the food was great! This time itc was not!

Sunday, August 31st was visiting Door County, with a stay in Sturgeon Bay. After trying to find breakfast at other venues, we happened upon The Log Den, to which we found the BEST part of our whole trip! We were welcomed at the door and immediately seated, having a toddler with, was wonderful! They had an AMAZING brunch buffet, and the service we had was top notch! I dont know how we have missed this place before, but will be our go to from now on, and we highly recommend you visit!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is a very cool log cabin atmosphere with amazing details in construction. Worth the visit just to enjoy the atmosphere. We did not eat because we were headed to Fish Creek for the evening, but it was a great stop with a yummy cocktail.
