“Great place with really beautiful taxidermy! Two pool tables and a nice horseshoe pit with bleachers for guests to watch. Food is great and if you love Lotsa mottza pizza like me, this is a good place to go for it! Two tables full of people playing sheepshead and having a great time on Monday evenings! Stayed for many hours! Would definitely go again and again!”

“It was very warm in the bar and restaurant area. No A/C on. Drinks were reasonably priced. Food was good. Recommended by hotel staff to check out. They were able to accommodate a large group. It was slow but they did their best. Chatted with some locals so it was fine, other than being very warm inside.”

“The best soft serve icecream experience I've had. They have a huge variety of flavors from cones to sundaes to smoothies and many more. They also have lots of food basically anything you can think of. There lots of places to sit down and eat. I recommend taking your whole family here my ice cream came to me less than 2 minutes of ordering, everyone was super nice and the ice cream was really really good. Stop into Diane's in birnamwood it really slaps hard”

“WOW! Their fish fry was top notch. We stopped here on a last minute change and will be planning for it in the future. The fish was excellent and worth driving out of your way for. My son got a chicken sandwich and the youngest chicken tenders. They took their time making those as well so I was very impressed. My only disappointment was I did not try their old fashioned. We will be back in a couple of weeks and going out of our way to stop here. The Cajun fish fry was the best but both options were excellent.”

“I was here with a large group. Started off in the bar for drinks and "Oh What Fun!: It was mostly our group but several regulars were there and they were fun and engaging. This is a family owned business and they know how to deliver fun and food. They were busy, but made time to talk which always makes me feel welcome. They are known for their Wisconsin Old Fashions. I had a whiskey old fashion with sweet and sour (I'm complicated) and it was so good, had 2! For dinner we had the best fried chicken with light crispy skin (my fav), mashed potatoes, stuffing, gravy, the creamiest cole slaw, and dinner rolls.Will definitely make another stop that way, maybe to sub on their Monday night bowling team!”

“Very impressed with the Friday fish fry. Our first visit but won’t be our last. Clean and busy place. Every employee was friendly. Our waitress (Zoe) is in the running for the best service we’ve had since before Covid. She was on point.It’s worth noting however that all the other servers were rocking it. Soup and Salad bar was above par.”

“For all you Friday fish fry lovers, Mama's Place is where you'll find a excellent meal. Here you'll find Cod,Haddock,Perch & Bluegill meals. The baked Cod was scrumptious, just the right seasoning that will make you wish Friday was 7 days a week. Mama's also have combination dinners featuring shrimp and fish at an affordable price. “I found Wittenberg Wisconsin to be a delight because of Xena‘s Village Inn. I was there for work for a couple weeks this place made it fun! Free Pool, Great Service, drinks poured right for the right price. Open until 2 am nightly!”

“This place isn't huge but we had no trouble getting a seat for our family of 5.Kids had chicken strips & fries, chicken dumpling soup and a breakfast skillet.My husband and I had a burger and a roast beef melt.My melt wasn't awful but it wasn't great. Everyone else loved their meals.Food was super fast and dinner for our family of 5 was $42 plus tip.”

“Nice little spot for breakfast. I had a Denver Omelette with American Fries and toast with a tall glass of orange juice for just under $10. The service was good and it took a few minutes but you could tell the American Fries were made from scratch so they were very good. Quiet little spot in a quiet little town in Northern Wisconsin, I would recommend.”
