One of my absolute favorite places in the Driftless Area. A true local gem reborn through generations. I love this place.

Always looking for new places for Friday fish diner. 2 weeks ago we found Maddens. It was the Best. The owner asked us how we heard about the place & seemed very interested. We have plans to head down tomorrow night with 2 other couples, because they heard us bragging up the place. I hope you can accommodate the 6 of us. By the way, we were bragging up your food, not the drinks. I am very saddened from what I am reading and you are acknowledging. A lot of Friday nights it's papa with his grandson. Too bad he will not be able to enjoy your great food. I still give you full 5 stars & hope you make can make some wise decisions about your future patrons. Wishing you the Best.

Madden’s Irish Pub is hands down a true gem in Elroy! The atmosphere and great vibes from the owners made my wife and I feel welcomed and right at home, especially their stories about the history of their building to that of the surrounding area. Great selection of regional and Irish beers to choose from, along with everything from basic drinks to specialty cocktails. And I must say their Reuben sandwich was scrumptious and will for sure lure me back for more, along with the special secret sauce for dipping fries and chips—yum! A nice game room compliments the pub. We will for sure be stopping back in every time we pass through town. I highly recommend Madden’s to locals and travelers alike. Thanks for the hospitality!

Only giving a three star because I haven’t been there yet, but I intend to, and hope to see a reason to give a higher rating. Seems unfair that people who haven’t been there are giving one star ratings in an attempt to prove a point. I’ll be in sometime soon to experience this place for myself.

Have a kids menu, but kids aren't allowed there. Owner is rude. Waitress is rude. Very ridiculous. Won't last long. You PROMOTE drinking and driving with minors.. you say NOW that you allow kids with people over 21, BUT then yell and throw them out when they bring kids in?!?! Make up your minds! New business?! That definitely won't last with the grave your digging.... Sad though because good food is hard to find. Advice? When you own a bar/ restaurant which is EXACTLY what it is?!?! Learn MANNERS and RESPECT!

First, let me recommend to everyone to jot on over to Riversend in Ontario for the best food you'll ever have. They also welcome kids!Since when can we not bring our children into our small-town pubs when they serve food? Specifically when they have a children's menu? Was the idea of that simply to encourage drinking and driving with minors in the vehicle if not to serve food to families? Because the last comment I read was if the parent wanted to grab a drink...?I grew up in Wilton, eating at teeny, tiny bars that happened to serve food. I was very well behaved. In fact, most of my fondest memories come from those bars.Single parents need not show patronage. Those who can not find sitters, need not show patronage. You may come only if you are entirely childless.Honestly, it's more or less the owners poor choice of words in exchange to his far less that desirable actions.

Interesting that they would have a kids menu and blatantly promote drinking and driving with your children if you don't have a babysitter.....

To all of my local friends, I have went to Madden’s Pub in Elroy multiple times and had a great meal. I have even took my children with my Dad and had a wonderful meal. We just drove all the way to Elroy as a family to have dinner. My husband has never tried the food and I was raving about it. We walked in and we were told by the owner himself, “You know we are a pub and we aren’t really set up to serve families.”Reed said, “So you want us to leave?”And he said, “Pretty much, yes.”I’m FLOORED!!!! I’m also embarrassed. We were in Baraboo and went out of our way to have dinner there. There was a table and everything.A lady asked what happened when we walked out we told her and she said, ‘Then why do they have a kids menu?’We will never be back. And our bill is always $125 or more. If you plan on going, don’t take your kids.

Madden's Irish Pub is a gem just off Main Street! From cloth napkins, beautiful lighting, fantastic drinks and phenominal food you will not be disappointed! The history of the building and surrounding area was a fun bonus while talking to Chris the owner. Anna, his wife and amazing chef, gave us a tour of the gorgeous outside seating, quaint inside area with fireplace where they host live musicians and second bar area where overflow can spread out and relax. Hands down some of the best drinks and corned beef we have had in a long time. Our night ended with homemade bailey's cheesecake and a promise to return with friends! Thank you Madden's for a wonderful night! See you soon! ❤️

A pleasant restaurant/bar located by the "400" bike trail in Elroy, WI. Service is excellent and food (Irish cuisine) also very good. Moderate pricing and fairly large if you include the entertainment areas. They do need to either get better lighting in the eating area, or redo the menus (currently classy beige but very difficult to read...I had to use the flashlight on my phone). Otherwise, a worthwhile destination.

Amazing!!! What a gem! Nothing like it around. Drinks are creative and very good. The ruban egg rolls app is amazing. My favorite thing is the homemade potato dill salad. So good. Oh and the homemade Guinness ketchup! Pricing is great too. Very affordable. Second time there and it lived up to the expectations. If you haven't been you are missing out! Get over there and check it out.
