Delicious food! We are repeat customers and bring friends & family when we can! Try the pumpkin pear soup, you won't be disappointed.

Nice cozy breakfast place! The apple cinnamon scones were the best I have ever had. They weren't hard like a brick like most scones. They were crumbly and nice and creamy tasting. Waffles were delicious--bacon was perfect.

Good breakfast, lunch, and dinner options. Their chicken salad sandwich and smoked turkey sandwich are really good. The sampler appetizer is good too. Did not like the dry demi roll on the Big Ben, ruins the

Fantastic lattes, all the food was wonderful. We had a variety of dishes with our group and all were very good. Neat little place!Kid-friendliness: My only caution would be that if you're dining with kiddos, this may not be what they're looking for. Check the menu ahead of time, especially if you have a picky eater.

The menu choices are great and everything was excellent ! I had the the Cherrywood Bacon burger. It was very juicy and cooked to perfection. Others in my group had the Beef Brisket and the Brisket Flatbread . Everything was delicious. The staff was friendly and attentive. It was a Saturday night and we only had to wait 20 minutes for a table .

Chef's Hat is very scenic and across street from water. Service was ok and food quality was excellent. However this was only dinner we had in Door County after two weeks that we left still Hungary. We both had entries, which did not include salad, bread, or much of any vegetable. My entree came with asparagus of which there were two spears chopped up. We each had one drink and bill was still 83.51 with tip. Both had to have another dinner later when we got back to our residence. No leftover take home from this place.

I’d eaten at the Chef’s Hat previously which is why I continue to go back. We ( 2 other friends) arrived at opening time(4:45) as did a lot of others, however, we had no wait time. I had & loved the short ribs served on a bed of spring onion mashed potatoes, with asparagus, red peppers & mushrooms mixed in. Delicious! Other friend (picky eater) had the meatloaf over mashed potatoes with gravy which she devoured & friend #3 had the the tilapia with strawberry pineapple salsa on a bed of Parmesan risotto( which she had never had before) and loved it. Our waiter could not have been friendlier or more attentive. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal & will definitely go back again next year & this time I WILL have the pumpkin(?, squash) pear soup which is equally as delicious. P.S. the wait time when we left 45 minutes later was 35 minutes.

Feel at home. It's just people like us. Active real chefs. Swift for slow food. Good cooking takes time. Happy staff.

First time at this restaurant, the inn where we stayed recommended it. The New Orleans and Penne Pasta plates were great. Very good service, reasonably priced. Definitely recommend trying it.

Such a delightful spot to dine! Watching folks and the Eagle Harbor gentle waves in the distance is terrific. Deliciously prepared entrees and delightful staff here... do stop!

We ate here twice during our 3-night stay in Door County. The waitstaff was friendly and prompt, the food was good and perfectly portioned, and when we ate outside they had nice, cozy heaters to make it pleasant as the evening cooled off. If you want Cherry Pie, be sure to order it early!

We were there this past weekend for dinner, and ordered the Tomato Basil flatbread, the first time they brought it, it was all burnt. We requested it to be re-made, this time, very first bite and there was a piece of hard plastic which almost felt like it broke a tooth, we informed our waitress and she was a bit lackluster about, said a very apathetic sorry and said she will inform the kitchen, we said we are not going to eat the flatbread, do not need another replacement and asked the manager to be informed and her response was 'the manager is also in the kitchen'. She returned and said what she can do is not charge us for the flatbread, very unprofessional, we were not expecting anything more but were also not going to pay for the flatbread anyways. We finished the other food we had ordered, paid, and left. The manager did not even care to come out and talk to us. Hoping that no plastic was ingested from that one bite which may cause any internal issues. They definitely do not care, as they may feel that, we are tourists and probably not going to come back anyways.Never going to visit again and not recommended.

I hate to be honest, I usually don't write reviews. This place had the best appetizer (spinach and artichoke dip). Dinner (ahi tuna steak on risotto), and cherry pie.for the price spent and amount of food was incredible. Very friendly and educated staff.
