Walked in and only 2-3 tables with people eating food so NOT busy but still had to walk to bar to get menus and drinks after sitting and waiting. Bartender apologized about being sooo busy. Ordered a cheeseburger that came without the cheese and the appetizer that was ordered. We were again told "so busy". After waiting thinking we were going to get a new, fresh burger we were brought a slice of cheese to put on the old burger that was now cold. The burgers are also pre-frozen patties so better to go down the street to the Wooden Nickel. This whole time there there were only 3 tables with people (who one left just throwing money on bar after waiting for one of the two women standing behind the bar to acknowledge him). We also had to go to bar to get our ticket. We also noticed that one of the three table also had a mix-up with their order. I guess they needed two women behind the bar with one literally doing nothing the whole time we were there. We go through this area a lot and hadn't been here since it reopened - won't stop again. I worked a lot of years as a bartender/food server and have sympathy when they really are busy - but that wasn't the case here.

What a hidden gem! We decided to stop in and try Sportsman’s and we are glad we did! We had the Rib-eye sandwich which was AMAZING! The staff was very attentive. They made sure we had plenty of Pico and drinks and made sure we tried their in house made spicy ranch dipping sauce. We will definitely be back with the whole family.

We were in there yesterday, August 13th 2022. We all ordered cheeseburgers and they were pretty good. Paid my bill, which was $29, with my debit card. Drew an 'X' through the tip area because i left a $7 cash tip. Woke up this morning and noticed i was charged $34.50 instead of $29. Seems the waitress decided to check mark the 20% tip area and give herself an extra $5.50 tip on top of the $7 in cash i left. Will be stopping in there today on our way back to La Crosse. If at all possible, avoid this place. And if you cant possibly avoid this place, pay in cash because the older blonde waitress WILL treat your debit card as if it is hers.

Stopped for food. Ordered drinks and were told they could not make a meal as the kitchen was closed because they had a band starting in an hour. Others got food, carried out, ordered after we were denied. Couldn't get a worker's attention to save our lives, so we left. On the plus side, the restrooms have heated seats!

Finally got our food still no cheese curds but found hair in my food! I about puked and we both walked out! Never in my life had poor service or food!

This bar has been recently remodeled. It was not busy when we went in but I sure don't understand why! I was concerned about be welcomed into a small town bar and the bartender was great and invited us in without prejudice. The food was really good. The bloody's could be better but I'm kind of a snob when it comes to them. I would definitely come back when down this way and I'm sure to stop back in the summer to enjoy the view from the deck.
