I went to this establishment on 9/27/25 for their, "Octoberfest", buffet which required a reservation. I was early for my time by about 15 minutes, 5:15pm vs 5:30pm and stood at the entry to the dining area for several minutes waiting to be approached. It didn't happen! I walked over to the end of the bar where there were three servers standing and chatting with a customer. Once I got one of their attention, I was told if my table number was empty to go ahead and have a seat, which I did. They couldn't even be bothered to show me to my table and they certainly weren't too busy since the three of them were standing and chatting! I sat and waited about 10 minutes for someone to come and get my drink order and finally went to the buffet. After I had finished my first plate a female server finally came and asked what I would like to drink. I told her, "A Raspberry Ice tea with NO ice." While that was being handled I went and served myself a second plate so I could sample everything they were offering. Once back at my table a young male brought my, "Raspberry Ice tea with no ice", except IT HAD ICE! I thought, whatever! I then went for the dessert table and it all appeared delicious, BUT as I put the four different cakes on my plate they appeared to be dried out. They also had two different cupcakes and a pudding cup. The desserts were dried out like sawdust. The pudding cup which had cake at the bottom, the cake was dry like sawdust! I tried everything and I can tell you for a fact as one who grew up in a German family/heritage and been to Germany many times this food they were serving may be called German food by them, but it is a disgrace to make that claim! The main course entries were pretty much tasteless and one of them was a rolled up slice of beef wrapped around baby carrots. The beef was dried out to the point of having the texture of leather! ALL the food appeared and tasted like it have been cooked days ahead and reheated! When the bill was finally presented to me I gave the server my credit card, but after I signed the check I noticed there was a (I believe) $4.85 surcharge. I immediately wrote void on the signed check and when the server came back I told him it need to be reprinted. I disappeared and the owner came to my table and was already in a irritable mood! She immediately stated, "The surcharge is the tip and the bill is the bill and I'm not changing it!" I explained to her the the tip is for service and told her what I had encountered since I arrived and that there was no tip for what I had experienced and the food was far from what REAL German food was. She stated that she'd been getting compliments all evening from other customers and there was nothing wrong with the food. I told here that, yes she may have been getting compliments, but if those customers have never eaten REAL German food they would have no idea whether it was good or not! She had nothing to say at that point! She also stated the tip also covered paying the employees for being there all day setting things up for this occasion. I adjusted the bill by paying in cash and did not include any gratuity! I've been a restaurant manager! - tips are for service rendered, NOT paying employees for setting up, that's covered by hourly wages! There was no service at this restaurant! - the setup for that area should have only taken four employees no more than two hours if even that! - I was never offered a refill on my raspberry ice tea! - no one ever asked while I was eating how the food was! - food trays were left empty for up to 15 minutes at a time (for a special seasonal buffet!) - you NEVER treat someone who you have never seen at your establishment like a nobody! *How do you expect to grow the business? German food is not tasteless! - main courses are flavorful! - deserts are moist and flavorful! It appeared all the other customers were locals that frequented this establishment often enough to be on a first name basis with staff and ma

Food that others were being served looked very good, unfortunately for our group we never got ours after waiting for almost 2hrs. Staff was very nice and friendly, but couldn't deliver our ordered meals. We left disappointed and hungry. We will not return.

Been driving past this supper for years. Not sure why I haven't stopped sooner! Stopped in a Thursday night and they were a touch under staffed but still very friendly and the food was terrific. Also perfect old fashioneds and traditional supper club drinks.

I was there on 6/18/25 with Polly's Jaunt Group for dinner. My BBQ Ribs were way too fatty - not a good piece at all. It looked good when it was presented, but when I start eating it - terrible didn't feel right afterwards. The rest of the meal was fine. I did mention it to the waitress to no avail. Very disappointed for I was looking forward to a great meal.

Went out to eat tonight and was served the thinnest ribeye I've ever seen in a restraunt. Was not good either, took two bites then left. Wait staff didn't offer any solutions. Also we had to wait 20 minutes before our order was taken for some reason.
