We had a really great time. The fish could not have been prepared better. The ambience was wonderful as the dining room has a grand fireplace. Our server Logan was very knowledgeable and was detail oriented. We will be returning before we go back home.

My wife and I dinned at Barringer's last week and were seated in the loft. We found the loft very cold with 1900 era windows when I felt a draft coming in with a strong east wind outside. We froze with cold feet and hands during the entire meal. When we received the bill, we were shocked that the suggested tip started out at 20% up to 30%. Is 40% suggested tip coming next?

Disappointing table. Next to kitchen door, music blasting. Asked front of house could we move. Dismissive and rude. Dark interior. Used our phone torches to see menu. Lobster bisque lovely. . Filet mignon perfect. Pity about the Dismissive front of house.

The crab and lobster stuffed shrimp was absolutely delicious and exactly as it was earlier this summer. Consistency in food and service is important to me. I've never been disappointed here.

The red grouper was some of the best fish I have ever had! Our server was so sweet and excellent! My sister and I had a fantastic meal and would highly recommend other people to dine with you!

Just not the level of quality. Service, ambiance, and quality of food was not up to the standard we have come to expect from his restaurant.

On a scale of one to 10 this was definitely a 12. The weight staff was amazing. Everything came impeccably timed and the food was absolutely delicious. It was the best dining experience I have had in years. I would definitely recommend dining here.

Always enjoy our experience at Berringers. The food is wonderful and the staff is great! We like dining at the bar when we eat there so we can enjoy inside and the fireplace outside weather permitting.

We go here for anniversary dinner every year. The staff just doesn't seem happy. The food is delicious. But it's difficult to enjoy a e meal why I can plainly see that staff is unhappy.

Didn't have a reservation for 5 of us. They sat us along the outside bar, however there were quite a few open tables. When asked if we could get a table they said that they were for reservations. Gave us a picnic table in the yard, even though there were 2 tables of 6 empty. No tablecloth like the rest of the restaurant, no condiments. Waiter came around to take drink order, then took our order for food. Brought food but we had to ask for silverware. Waiter came back once to ask us how it was. The 2 tables of 6 sat empty for the entire evening that we were there. Average meal was $50 - to sit at a dirty picnic table. Save your money.

We never leave less than a 20% tip, but tonight we did. It was our 40th wedding anniversary. We told them that when we booked and when we asked to get in earlier. I don't want to be a karen, but we felt dismissed. Our waiter was great at getting us fed, but I noticed special treatment to local or familiar guests. We enjoyed our food, but the atmosphere and service was just okay.

The espresso martinis were poor quality. Chris, the hostess, was beyond rude setting reserved signs in front of us and then asked us to leave the bar seats we had waited an hour to get. The overall experience was disappointing, and we won’t returning

The lower score is not that anything was bad just nothing special related to the prices. Paying almost $200 for two dinners, three drinks and 1 cup of soup was pretty expensive for just OK food and service. For that type of pricing with many entrees at or above $50 we expect exceptional quality all around. Both food and service was what I would receive at any casual restaurant.

Barringer's Restaurant was excellent! The food was upscale and delicious! Our server was professional, attentive, and helpful. We ate at 6 pm and the ambiance was soft, muted, and intimate.

Barringer's is one of my favorite place in DC. The food is EXCELLENT, the staff is so ACCOMMODATING AND FRIENDLY and the ambience is SECOND TO NONE!
