“Wonderful spot for a fish boil and better than the more touristy options in the area. This small restaurant serves traditional fish boils and cajun fish boils on alternating days. We arrived without a reservation just after one of their boils, and the owner and hostess were gracious enough to make room for us. We thought we’d be served leftovers, but the owner went outside and freshly boiled an order for us! We missed the official show but instead got to watch from the warm interior. Reservations are expected, don’t assume you’ll get lucky like we did.The restaurant is really cute and clean. There is a lovely view over the harbor and the boiling kettle itself. As far as I’m aware, there is no menu and no options. If you’re there on a traditional or cajun night that is what you’re getting. They did have a nice variety of alcohol. The price was a bit high but fair for the experience and quality. The staff were only okay, but I thought their slight edge was fair given the end of an exhausting tourist season. The owner was very personable and took the time to help many patrons debone their fish.The traditional fish boil is served with the fish itself, potatoes, a sweet onion, corn, coleslaw, and bread. The bread was pretty good. The meal looked simple when served but ended up being delicious. The fish had a good flavor to it and came from nearby waters. The potatoes were livened up by the melted butter. The owner makes his own cajun seasoning and sauce. The liberal application of both made the meal even better. The corn and sweet onion were great. The owner described the onion as taking on a candy-like flavor and he wasn’t wrong. The coleslaw was great (my companion described it as the best she’d ever had). This meal is a lot of work to eat given the inevitable picking of bones. Therefore it’s probably not a great first date spot, but very cute for couples who know one another and can deal with some fish bones. They served cherry pie for dessert, which was the weakest part of the meal. Overall this was a lovely experience.”

“Blue Horse Beach Cafe was such a fun stop! My husband and I loved the drinks we got, he got a double espresso and I got a large iced chai, my chai was pretty milky, but still delicious. We waited for 15 minutes before going up to ask where our drinks were. They had lost them in the business and kindly made them right away. It was no problem at all and they were super nice about it giving us a cookie for our troubles. Overall it was a great experience, the staff was very sweet!”

“So glad this place was reinvented into one of our favorite stops in all of Door County. The building sat empty for many years before reopening about three years ago. It has it all - food, beer, wine, and a market. There is no where else you can grab a drink and shop. Their food is fast, affordable, convenient, and most of all delicious. Their nachos are loaded with a protein of your choice and fresh ingredients. These are some of the best nachos I've ever had. The pork is tender and smokey and the beer cheese sauce really take it to the next level. This time o tried their nacho special - Hawaiian (pictured) which came with pineapple and jalapeño salsa, pulled pork, sweet bbq sauce, and topped with cojita cheese. My husband loves their rib tips which come with a choice of sauce. They have most of their hot sauces available to try on your food before purchasing in their market. Other menu items include tacos, walking tacos, hot dogs, soup and salad. Bridge up brewing has something for everyone. A great selection of their own beers and guest beers. They even have NA, sour, cider, and seltzer options. If beer isn't for you they also have wine available. The market has it all - canned items, fresh baked goods, frozen door county specialties, etc. They also have a good selection of novelties such as games, jewelry, and gifts. There is some indoor seating, but the outdoor patio takes it all. Lots of tables with umbrellas, large fire pits, and yard games for the whole family. There are board games and cribbage board available inside as well. Make sure it add this place you your list, it has something for everyone!”

“Honestly the only thing bad about this place was the attitude of the man hosting, seating and taking the phone calls.Otherwise it had a great atmosphere, the server was extremely knowledgeable and ran off all of their multiple specials and descriptions off the top of his head. We had the lobster tail and the special of sea bass and the food was absolutely divine. Definitely a must visit!”

“Top-notch pizza!! Service was so friendly, offered me a seat while I looked at the menu and waited for my takeout order. You can tell the dough and sauce are all fresh and homemade. None of that greasy, flavorless pizza you get from the big chains. The pizza sauce just pops. Was very close to returning the next day just to buy one of the jars of sauce they sell. Missed opportunity on my part! We'll be back again!”

“The drive from Sturgeon Bay is a bit long. The road in egg harbor is under construction, so the detour takes you out of the way. Julies hotel is wonderful, quiet, and prices were the best in the area. My one issue is that the floors are heated and the temperature doesnt drop under 70 degrees. So middle of winter, I had to use the A/C. I dont like to do that at all.”

“The food and atmosphere was great but the lady at the front that greats you ruined are experience she yells at everyone even at a old man she has no respect for anyone. That girl should be running horses instead. She is also bartender I would not be surprised if she had a few drinks herself.”

“Love this restaurant. We try to get to Barringer's every time we get up to Door County. Excellent steaks and love the shrimp cocktail. We also had the special which was halibut and it did not disappoint. If planning a trip to Door County, make reservations at Barringer's and enjoy a wonderful meal.”

“If you like pie, you need to come here! The Pie Lady is passionate about what she does, and will make sure you leave with something you like, that you will have time to bake to perfection. She discouraged us from getting a whole pie, because we weren’t sure we would be home long enough that evening to bake it properly, suggesting instead several of the small individual pies, and they did indeed take a long time to bake, so we enjoyed them for breakfast - so delicious! They encourage you to call, but even had several varieties of gluten free pie in stock.Dietary restrictions: They had several kinds of whole and small individual gluten free pies available frozen when we stopped in, but offer a larger selection if you call ahead of time.”

“My husband and I came to town on vacation and stopped here for a snack and it was perfect!! The tiramisu cake was SO GOOD. I am not able to handle caffeine, but wanted a hot drink since it was chilly outside and they worked with me and made me a DELICIOUS steamer. “I'd recommend stopping by Hatch Distilling if you're in Door County to try out their drinks, both their spirits and the mead from their Mixed Meadia label. I was only able to stop for a short time so couldn't fully explore their cocktails, but the flight I had took me on a delightful range of flavors to give me a good sense of what they do and prompted me to get a few bottles to take home with me. On the mead side, the Vikings Blood & Honey and Lemon were my two favorites.Hatch has a large parking lot, a cool indoor seating with bar and variety of tables, and a nice patio (that I enjoyed). The bartender was helpful, and patient, as I tried to make the stressful decision of which items to select for my flight. There were more that I wanted to try than what I ended up trying, which is a good problem to have!”

My partner and I were visiting from Chicago and this is absolutely better than pizza in the city! It’s absolutely delicious, and the the customer service was great.While we waited, we got to enjoy a cherry ale and a Cookie Monster stout from One Barrel Brewing Company!Pizza Bro’s thicc bread by far has been the best garlic bread I’ve ever had. Not overcooked. Delicious and just full of flavor (butter probably, but still delicious haha).This place is a MUST visit. We will definitely be back next time we are in Egg Harbor.Vegetarian options: Margarita Pizza, or DIY pizza. For the Spicy Sicilian, they were able to do half of it with no meat.”

“Good beer and great atmosphere. Grab a pizza while you're here, it's one of the best in town. Inside is nice but their outdoor area is fantastic. Also very dog friendly. They have dog treat stations and water bowls throughout.”

“Such a cool place! The food and drinks were amazing. They even have mimosas and Bloody Marys for those morning where you just need one! Smoothies for kids - which can also have alcohol added for adults ?.The Beignets are fantastic - the kids loved them.Even though I started with food - the service here is 5-star! More times than not, guests are greeted as “friends”. Customers are checked on regularly in addition to checking on employees. Simply amazing! We will return when we camp during the summer months in Door County! Thanks for a great experience.”
