The English Inn Reviews
Tried making reservation in MAY to celebrate our 20th at a nice window table. Crabby host, same as last year, offered us dark table or sit with sliding door constantly in use, viewing patio, water station, dirty dishes. At least it was light. Food pricey but pretty good. Dessert menu unprecedented, should have asked.$9.95 each and ok only. Very disappointed and very expensive. Won't be back
We were on the trolley and stop here for lunch. Service was outstanding and food was excellent! I even got a bandage for my thumb! Thx again!
I was there with my significant others Mom on Saturday December 6th, our server was Melissa. Melissa was amazing! She was so friendly and bubbly and happily explained our choices as we were preparing to order. Our food was amazing! I had a tenderloin that was cooked to perfection! The one thing that I regret about that night was that I did not pass on to Melissa to let our chef know how great our meal was!

The English Inn offers a warm and inviting atmosphere, where the ambiance is perfectly balanced, allowing for enjoyable table conversations. The service stands out with attentive yet unobtrusive waitstaff. While the Beef Wellington was disappointing on one occasion, other dishes such as the flourless torte, baked onion soup, bruschetta, and spinach salad with hot bacon have been praised. The breading on the all-you-can-eat perch is particularly notable for its light and crispy texture.
The outdoor space is especially charming, with small firepits at the center of each table, creating a cozy ambiance. The beautiful koi pond, complete with small waterfalls and wine barrels that shoot water, adds a serene touch. The lighted trees and unique metal sculptures further enhance the enchanting setting. The overall dining experience at The English Inn is generally described as pleasant, with a truly wonderful atmosphere both indoors and outdoors, making it a favorite dining destination in Door County.
