Walkability: Perfect location to walk anywhere downtown fish creek. It's also at the park entrance to Peninsula State Park so it's an ideal place to bring your bike or rent one (you can rent bikes at 2 different locations right next to the motel).Food & drinks: Julie's Cafe is a must stop for us any time we are in door county. The room was very clean and comfortable. Nice hot shower. Great location. My only complaint is that the light outside the door is so bright. I was glad I had my eye mask with me. We ate at the cafe for breakfast. I had the breakfast tacos they were very good. I don't remember what my husband had, but he liked it. The drive from Sturgeon Bay is a bit long. The road in egg harbor is under construction, so the detour takes you out of the way. Julies hotel is wonderful, quiet, and prices were the best in the area. My one issue is that the floors are heated and the temperature doesnt drop under 70 degrees. So middle of winter, I had to use the A/C. I dont like to do that at all.
