I have tried several wineries in the area over the years and Lautenbach's is definitely my favorite. We tried their wine at a local restaurant and I was very excited to try more of their wine. The staff is super friendly and helpful and the wine tasting allowed us to find several bottles that we loved. On a previous trip I bought several bottles that I gifted and now several people asked me to bring more bottles for them. We definitely will be back on our next visit!
Outstanding Sparkling Apple and Cherry cider. Free tastes too. Highly recommend!!
This country store/market was a great addition to an autumn trip to Door Co. Plenty of jams/preserves, baked goods, trinkets, and of course apples. Bought an entire cherry pie that was delicious.
Everything you can possibly want for last minute gifts ?
Wish there was still the availability to sample things before purchasing. Some of the new items sound good but are a tap pricey to try and throw away.
Nice winery, big shop, wine taste $5 or $10. So many choices, we tasted 10 samples, bought wine, cherry pie, jam, apple cider etc.
Such a cute store. They pastries were incredible! The wine was very sweet, so it was great to also be offered cider
Went while driving around door county. We tried some of their wine. They were fine but nothing we really thought was awesome. The girls working back there were friendly and explained the process. A lot of the jarred products appeared to be mass produced somewhere and had their custom labeled slapped on it. We bought some donuts, and they were good, but not sure who actually makes them. Bought a bucket of frozen pie cherries, it was unlabeled, so don’t know if they are grown there or somewhere else. Said they were door cherries those. The price was cheap either way. Checkout is chaos.
We were extremely disappointed in Lautenbach's this year. We bought almost $200 worth of products when we were there in August, 2024. All but 1 item we bought was expired. We gave some of the items as gifts to our friends and family, like we do every year when we shop here and we had to ask for them back as we didn't realize this until after we got home.
Then, the 1 item that was not expired my husband and I tried to make, which were caramel apple bars. Sounds good right? Except the bags inside were mislabeled. What was supposed to be the crust wasn't labeled, and the topping was labeled as crust AND the recipe made no sense. See picture. Number 6? What? They ended up being a runny goopy mess. So in the end we couldn't end up using any of the items we bought, but I guess our fault for not checking expiration dates. Some were out of date for more than 2 years.
Won't be shopping there on our annual trips again
Neat place, wines had an odd after taste for us.

Great service
Very busy. Great variety of products.
I was on the hunt for some delicious door county apple wine a friend had served us like a decade ago (that they got at the state fair) and we just happened upon lautenbachs this weekend, hoping to find said wine and there it was. we were amazed at the wine selection, the food mixes and bakery items. we bought so much there, and then to hear the music in the outdoor area, see the beautiful orchards, and the gourmet grilled cheese truck out back (which had amazing chicken pesto sandwiches!), it was all around an exciting and amazing experience. we left happy as clams... Can't wait to go back next time we are in door county! amazing staff also. thank you!
Very clean and open, not cluttered with stuff outside
Absolutely love it here. Great tasting wines and ciders. Great store, walkable vineyards, more sweeter, but still fell in love with their wines.
