Love the cherry snacks and the different options in sizes for the wine tasting
Our favorite winery in Door County, and probably the main reason we keep coming back.
We stopped during a weekend trip, and enjoyed sampling the wines, as we do every time we're in the area. The prices aren't outrageous, and we were lucky enough to be there with great weather for outdoor seating, live music, and the food truck on-site turned it into a full lunch stop.
When it was time to leave, we left with a case of different wines, and an assortment of fresh baked goods, local jams and sauces, and a few quick gifts for the kids.
When we stopped on Saturday afternoon during a holiday weekend, they were far too crowded. We did a wine tasting and bought a couple of bottles for later . . . then went back Monday morning, when they were still busy, but not being crushed by crowds. Left with lots of jars of cherry jam, pie filling and so on. Definitely worth going back when the crowds were thinner. And the staff was very helpful too (even when the line waiting for wine tasting stretched across the room)
I had tons of fun doing the wine flight tasting. I recommend trying their ciders too. Best sweet cherry cider I have ever had. I bought 3 jugs of it. Another must have would be the sweet bourbon glaze that is great for grilling. Try the lingonberry wine when you're in town. Can't go wrong with this Swedish treasure.
WOW, WOW, WOW! Easily our favorite winery and experience in Door County! Do not have enough good things to say about Lautenbachs!☺️ We were in DC for 4 days, and stopped here 3x! Once per recommendation of a friend, 2nd time was for the trolley tour, and 3rd was our last stop before we went back home to Milwaukee. They have something for everyone- a winery experience, family fun with lots of games for the kids, a beautiful walk through their orchards, a food truck, a market filled with a wide variety of delicious goodies and souvenirs to bring home! They really treat you like family here. We bought 4 jars of cherry salsa 🍒, this stuff is like no other! Some of our other favorites were cherry horse radish, plenty of jams, of course coming home with wine, lots of bakery goods, and be sure to sample the crisp and refreshing cherry apple juice! They have so many samples out, so you can pick and choose your favorites.
This place is a must see when you plan your weekend in Door County!
A family owned place with lots of history!
We put Lautenbach's Orchard on our itinerary for our Door County trip and we had so much fun! We were drawn by all the activities they offered, specifically the live music, wine tasting and apple picking. The singer set the mood perfectly and even had us up for a dance at one point. The Audrey Grace wine was so good that our group ended up splitting two bottles - it was slightly sweet, but not grossly over sweet the way many Door County fruit wines tend to be. Overall we had a ton of fun and would recommend the stop!
Be careful, tasting their wines could affect your bank level. SO GOOD!!!
Accidentally bought a small jar of cherry honey thinking it was mustard. Definitely, my mistake. Came back the next day in hopes of exchanging it for mustard. The clerk recognized me. However: No receipt - No exchange - unwilling to even consider an exception. Sorry to say but sometimes it is better to do right than to be right.
Great place to visit while in Door County! We’ve been here a few times. The shop has a wide variety of goodies. We enjoyed the wine tastings/flights and the grilled cheese truck!
This is the best place to get cherries and cherry goodies!! We love it and stop every year on our DC trip. Love everything here!!

Best place to buy wine in Door County. Wine tastings, bakery, miscellaneous food items.
Nice place, dog friendly they even allow them inside. Had a nice tasting and a snack. Cute shop
Has lots of goodies for you to bring home, and have a little wine tasting!
8/21/25 - Our first time visiting and we really enjoyed our stop here! $10 for a flight of 5 different wines or ciders. There's also an option for a $5 flight, smaller portions. Large selection of wine, canned goods (jams, salsas, etc) and some snackie items. There is a nice outdoor patio to see on and enjoy the weather, along with a cherry pit spitting contest area, and other outdoor games like bean bags, axe throwing, etc. Very kid friendly! A grilled cheese food truck was also on site, not sure if that's is seasonal or permanent.
Early June was a great time to visit Lautenbach’s! Beautiful weather, no big crowds, relaxing environment in the most beautiful setting. We tasted various wines and thought the Splash series was the best (if you like sweet tasting wines like us). Great selection of cherry items, baked goods, and more. Loved it!
