Out for a Saturday drive, looking for outdoor dining in the FDL area. Sadly, there aren't many choices. Stopped by Sunset and were pleasantly surprised to see their nice sized patio open for dining, right on the lake. VERY friendly and prompt service. Nice menu, including a personal favorite, gyros and even gyro salad. Will make it a stop in the future for food and drinks.
So not only was the service terrible, probably the slowest and most unfriendly we’ve had in a long time, but the steaks were awful! My daughter ordered medium rare and it was well done. The cuts of meat were what you would expect to get at the Golden Corral. Just awful…did I mention the service was really slow and with attitude?!
My husband and I love Sunset on the Water. I don't like going to dark, noisy bars. I'm getting older and I don't hear well in noisy places. I want to be able to visit when I'm dining out, and Sunset on the Water is perfect for that. There is muted conversations, but no juke box blaring at ear-splitting decibels.
I love being able to watch the sun set over the lake. We went there for Valentine's Day this year, and the waitress was kind enough to take our picture together...read full review
