“Out for a Saturday drive, looking for outdoor dining in the FDL area. Sadly, there aren't many choices. Stopped by Sunset and were pleasantly surprised to see their nice sized patio open for dining, right on the lake. VERY friendly and prompt service. Nice menu, including a personal favorite, gyros and even gyro salad. Will make it a stop in the future for food and drinks.”

The big reason is because their bartenders are awesome, fun, friendly, and professional - especially Joey. If Joey is working you are in for a real treat - he’s a great bartender, funny as hell and is down for a great conversation (be careful because he’s hilariously snarky at times too).”

“Lynda is possibly the best person/bar keep I’ve met in my life. I’m very new to the area and had zero knowledge of this place outside of looking at a seemingly beautiful venue from across the street and I had to go and check it out. I didn’t want to leave. They have some great bar snacks and a lovely walking area behind the bar which cannot be missed. You’d be hard pressed to miss this venue (which as per Lynda also hosts weddings) so as someone who been around the world and new to this area I’m so grateful to have stumbled on this amazing location and I’ll return every chance I get.”

But Los Mezcales is our absolute favorite Mexican restaurant and our favorite restaurant in fond du lac. To start with you’re always greeted with a smile and every employee seems happy to be there. The service is always top shelf! The food and drinks are sooo good! We usually order pickup once a week because our son is autistic and doesn’t like public places but on date nights we make sure to venture in. Los Mezcales is a gem :)”

“Everything about the restaurant was amazing. We were surprised by the size when we walked in and how busy the place was, yet we were seated immediately with no issue. Our waitress was great, keeping our waters filled and checking in regularly. The food came in about 20 minutes or less despite the crowd, and was in greater proportions than we expected. The food was spectacular and was well worth the very respectable prices. No complaints at all.”

“Great nostalgic atmosphere with super friendly wait staff. Outdoor seating area is like eating in a park with big shady trees and picnic tables, even small kids' tables. We brought the dog and ordered a cheeseburger for her. The staff knew it was for the dog so they made it with no bun inside a container so she could eat out of it. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.”

“I ordered me a Lasagna today and I ordered me a hand toss Pizza sausages pepperoni.. The Lasagna was okay. I asked for a salad with no onions. They put onions in it. I got my Pizza home and the crush is hard as heck. So I had to just eat the toppings off the top, and throw the crush in the garbage. It was horrible.”

“I went through the drive thru Sunday with my husband, youngest and grand pup. My daughters name is Ella. The lady working the windows name was Bella. She was so nice and my daughter can't stop talking about how she has the same name as her friend and her name is almost just like hers. The other people were so nice as well. “I met some friends for breakfast at Rolling Meadows today and everything was wonderful. We had such a sweet, friendly waitress; very attentive. I had the Avocado Toast and they were happy to make it with a hard-boiled egg in place of the poached eggs it listed on the menu. The sourdough toast was so good and obviously homemade. It was the best breakfast I’ve had in years. My friends were all very pleased with their meals, too. I will definitely return, it was a pleasant and relaxing meal with delicious food!”

“My wife and I were looking for a good place to grab some pizza on our way home, and after reading the reviews about Joe’s, we decided to give it a shot. We’re so glad we did!

When we first walked in, the setup seemed a little unusual. Like several other reviewers have mentioned, you actually go back toward the kitchen to place your order. But once we figured that out, everything was great.

And the pizza—WOW. I honestly haven’t had pizza this good in a long, long time. The crust was wonderfully wafer-thin and crispy, and they were incredibly generous with the toppings. When I picked up my first piece, the cheese pull had to be more than a foot long! Just fantastic pizza.

We also really enjoyed the Sprecher on tap, and the whole place had a lively, fun atmosphere. If I had to find one negative, it was a little noisy—but everyone seemed to be having such a good time that it was pretty hard to complain about that!

Would we go back? In a heartbeat. An absolute heartbeat. It was that good.

If you’re looking for a great place for pizza in the Fond du Lac area, definitely give Joe’s a try. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed!”

“This was our first visit to this new restaurant. In my opinion it was like a breath of fresh air for fond du lac. Friendly excellent food quality, well maintained. Fried Chicken was the best I've ever had. Part of our group had pizza and they enjoyed it as well. Had the cheese curds in the French bread on the side they were also well done and very tasty. Cheese curds were not overly breaded. The French bread was not overly done with garlic. They have Pepsi products and their selection of beers are excellent. We would rate it five stars and will return again”

“Just absolutely hands down love this subway on pioneer. Came here just because it was closest subway from where we were at. Wasn’t expecting anything. Just another subway in this town. First time going there my daughter who was all hyper as she’s 7 and has a lot of energy I just got done with a long day of work and exhausted the young lady was so kind and patient believe her name is Ellie(sure I spelt it wrong and I’m terrible with names) to find out she’s the manger’s daughter. Went back again just because of that experience and ended up with Whitney the other daughter and then met the general manger. Even the staff has always been so nice. Never had a bad service. They remember us, Whitney even helps me remembers what I get for my daughter as I sometimes forget. I love that I walk in there even after not going in there for a while and they remember you, talk to you like you are family not a customer. All friendly staff. It’s hard keeping staff now a days but even seeing young kids actually working just refreshing. It shows what kind of manger they have there. I think some of the other stores need to take a lesson from this store. Hands down won’t go to any other subway. I have found our forever subway. Thank you Shannan, Whitney and the staff for making us feel special. As long as Shannan and Whitney are there we won’t go to any other subway.”

Never told us the name just that it was close to downtown. While out and about today, we decided to look for these mysterious burritos. Thankfully we found them and were so happy! These burritos are not your typical American size - there is 2-3 meals in one. They are AMAZING!!! Service was good and friendly too. Will be back again!”

“We love walking through Lakeside Park and it always seems so well maintained in the warmer months. However, it was discouraging to walk through recently and see the walking paths with huge areas of ice and snow still. I even saw an elderly lady slip and fall because of it. It would be nice to see those maintained better.”

I had the hot and sour soup which comes with crunchy wheat noodle, and a main course of Szechuan chicken that could've and should've been way hotter in terms of scoville units. No Sichuan peppers so they cater to a Midwestern palette, but can't say it wasn't good.

I recommended a dessert option for their menu, so I'm excited to see if they will implement for me to try on a repeat visit.”

“We went out to eat at a supper club in the Holy Land last night. Paid over $60 for just the 2 of us and couldn't even eat even a quarter of the food due to the lack of quality in the food. So today we came to Sombreros, the food was excellent! The portion sizes are very generous. We paid only $45 for the 2 of us with large portion meals and 2 drinks a piece. We had plenty of left overs to bring home. We will easily enjoy a total of 4 or 5 meals from this wonderful visit. The meat is excellent quality. I cannot say enough about how good this place is. It's a must try place!”

“Haven’t been is Sals since previous owner named Dino had the place, place was filthy, the big pizza guy acted like he didn’t want to work, tables dirty, and employees just sitting around or out back smoking. Decided to come back after three years, highly impressed by the change, clean, pizzas not burnt, no one sitting around. Food was fresh and hot, no flies all over, a lady named Ann took order, super friendly and polite. The new owner was super friendly, and between new owner and counter lady Ann, they checked on us as we ate, and both spoke to us as we left, definitely will be returning customers now.
