Out for a Saturday drive, looking for outdoor dining in the FDL area. Sadly, there aren't many choices. Stopped by Sunset and were pleasantly surprised to see their nice sized patio open for dining, right on the lake. VERY friendly and prompt service. Nice menu, including a personal favorite, gyros and even gyro salad. Will make it a stop in the future for food and drinks.

I had a delicious dinner of chicken fajitas. Large portions and a plate full of sides. 1st time here. Will definitely bring the family next time. Wait staff was very attentive and food wait time was only about 20 minutes.

Definitely not the Sunset we remembered! Our food was . gross. French onion soup was so salty! Not a beefy broth you would expect. Husband ordered beef tips and noodles. Again, not a beefy sauce at all, no flavor at all and so salty he couldn't eat it! I had ribeye medium rare. It came sitting on a plate with a watery juice and was grayish in color. Steak looked like they boiled it! Server didn't seem to care and avoided our table until bill time. Also flies were all over the place, not just a few but like 30! Wasted our time and money on something that we planned to be special.

So not only was the service terrible, probably the slowest and most unfriendly we’ve had in a long time, but the steaks were awful! My daughter ordered medium rare and it was well done. The cuts of meat were what you would expect to get at the Golden Corral. Just awful…did I mention the service was really slow and with attitude?!
Had to wait over 15 minutes for someone to notice us on the deck and the same for 2 other tables

This restaurant is wonderful, you can sit outside and enjoy the fresh air or inside and look out the beautiful huge windows overlooking the lake. Food was fresh and flavorful and a good price.
