This coffee shop is awesome. The food is great, the staff are great, the coffee is great, the atmosphere is great. Their food options, although limited, are perfect and delicious. Especially the Jenna’s Bagel sandwich on an everything bagel.
Needed a coffee stop while in the area and this was my daily fix. Friendly staff! Full coffee options and online order options. Small shop, outdoor seating only but great location. Easy access. First day I traipsed through the PX it was tucked in a corner. Best entry is from the outside J Street parking lot.

So there I was…on my way to work and fighting to stay awake from a long night out the previous night. As I walked into the shoppette to get an energy drink I remembered that I had given them up for lent. Now I’m left with a decision to make. Go to hell? Or try an alternative route for my caffeine fix? Upon exiting the shoppette so I can go to heaven, I spot a blinking open sign out of the corner of my eye as if it was an oasis out in a desert. I muster up the strength to make the long 15 meter trek to this little coffee shop tucked away in the corner. I open the door and tumble inside like a fiend looking for his crack fix. I was greeted by Fern and her sidekick Shaniqua. She acted as a caffeine pharmacist prescribing me a delicious White Chocolate Mocha. Obviously I upgraded to a medium size. Two sips into this magical elixir and I felt recharged like a Tesla battery. The staff was so nice and friendly and they had the perfect soundtrack playing in the background whispering sweet nothings into my eardrums. I can’t believe I did not know this place was here prior to this day. If it had not been for the bartender the previous night possibly over serving me, I may not have found this diamond in the rough. I will never go to another coffee shop unless Cafe Corner is closed of course or I am out of town. Thank you Fern for giving me life again. I will be a loyal customer from here on out.
