I've eaten here before, and the food is always delicious. That day, I ordered the tips, and they tasted as if they were char-broiled or burnt, and the baby red potatoes tasted like they sat in the roaster all day. Maybe they're training a cook? Also that day, there was a newer bartender. She was having trouble keeping up. But the blonde older lady behind the bar also, never helped out.
Love the history The Golden Frog holds, being built in 1878 and serving people since. on the menu it states the saloon keeper and builder had golden red hair, hence the German name, "Zum Golden Frosch," which translates to The Golden Frog ? Great atmosphere, staff, and food!!
