One of my grandmother's favorite places🤗.
Fantastic service from Rachel S. and delicious food. Highly recommend!
My boyfriend and I woke up to a hotel room with no water, after a very long day of travel. We needed good, hot, local food… Maxfield’s was just the ticket! Andrea was a kind and friendly hostess who was happy to chat with us. Service was quick, restaurant is very cute. Omelette was HUGE, my boyfriend loved his pancakes, and the Latkes were some of the best I have ever had!!!
If we were locals we would be here every weekend. Cannot speak highly enough of this cute little stop!! All you could want in a Midwestern breakfast joint. Thank you for serving us!
Excellent restaurant for breakfast. Scrambled eggs with ham bits and pancakes. Both food items tasted great. The pancakes, WOW! Service fast, server very nice. Definitely worth another visit!
We went here for Father's Day, and it was fine. It was busy but not exceptionally so. The food was good. Our server was nice, but not very attentive. I even saw her talking to other employees while we were trying to flag her down for our check. She took forever to greet us. The food took way longer than it should, and of course, it took a really long time to get our check. We had been here once before about three years ago, when I was a similar experience.
We had a large group greater than 15. Our waitress was very efficient at taking our orders and serving the food. The food as always was great. I ordered the # 1 special with 2 eggs, 2 pancakes and bacon. A few ordered lunch as it was about 11:00 am on a Sunday morning.

The breakfasts looked good. Unfortunately, their burgers seemed to be factory made patties with zero taste. I would stick with the breakfast and you won't be disappointed.

I do not recommend this restaurant. The pancakes are not good. Doesn’t even come close to the quality of pancakes served a Canela Cafe (former pancake house on Downer), George Webb and IHOP. The meat lovers scrambler I had was okay. Sweet Diner’s meat lovers scrambler is much better.

Nice choice for a hearty breakfast in a family restaurant starved area. Little more pricey for the portions than comparable restaurants, though but lots of unusual selections so nice to have options and worth a bit extra.
Seems like they may be short staffed, as are most places but they recently changed to pay at the table and we waited just shy of 20 minutes for a bill and never got drink refills which is a pet peeve of mine.
We are understanding of these issues and will go back hoping to get the breakfast served as requested and more timely attendance.
