Went to Pepper's today for their Thursday meatloaf special and a cup of vegetable beef barley soup. Both were excellent. Pepper's has great service and a very friendly. I highly recommend going therefore the food and the people.
I stop going because the food never changed fir years. Heard there was a new cook as well as the previous cook. Food has improved. One thing that can elevate the food is to use really butter instead of butter oil. Had back fish that was cooked in the oil and next time had grilled ham a cheese that was cooked in the oil which gives it a funny flavor. Butter is the secret of a good cook
Don't go as often as I used to. Seems they have cut their days open down to only a few per week. Staff can't make a living that way. Must be time for another name change soon.
