Just spend the night in one of the Hahn a Lula/ Big Franks Resort nightly rentals in Fremont on the Wolf River. Also has a restaurant, bar, banquet hall, RV and campground rentals. Plus, a large outdoor tiki bar area with plenty of seating with some under cover. Live music outside, weather permitting. A volleyball net and bags game set up. Plenty of docking space on the river for your boat or pontoon.
The rental had 2 bedrooms, nice bathroom with 2 sinks. Microwave, small fridge, sink, coffee maker, toaster, some dishes and utensils. Couch that pulled out to bed. A small deck with table and 4 chairs that looked out towards the Wolf River. Very clean rental. Nice pillows. I especially enjoyed the quirky original artwork.
Beautiful and peaceful morning seeing sunrise with fog on the Wolf river.
Campground was clean, sites had good accessibility, flat areas, shade and overall looked like a great place to stay. The meal I had at restaurant was tasty, service was prompt. The resort has a very inviting bar area to hang out in. Great seating, nice amount of TV’s and fun atmosphere. Yummy nightly specials.
Highly recommend getting away from it all and spending a day or more at Big Franks.

can’t even rate the food as we have been waiting more than an hour and a half and haven't seen our waitress since they initially took out our order. There is only 4 other tables here. Wouldn’t waste your time here.

We were there Monday Memorial Day. The outside bar was packed. Restaurant was slow. Bar tender said over an hour for a pizza due to call in orders. But they had it out in less than 40 minutes. They had a salad bar in the afternoon and it was good. We'll be back again.

We went here for Mother's Day, late lunch. All of us got sick. Food was of poor quality. Chicken was really dry. Advertised beef tips but didn't have it on the buffet. For $25 a person we expected a better experience. We've eaten here before but didn't we won't be back.

If you ever find yourself grabbing dinner at Hahn-a-Lula Resort, I highly recommend treating your waitress like a missing person case and launching a full-scale search party the second your food passes the one-hour mark.
We arrived at 6:30PM. Ordered by 7:30PM. In what can only be described as a dining room with all the bustling energy of an abandoned Sears, our food somehow didn’t hit the table until almost 9PM. At that point, I was less concerned about dinner and more concerned that our meals had been sourced locally via canoe.
After finally tracking down our waitress sometime after 8:30 (a feat comparable to spotting Bigfoot in the wild) we were met with a cheerful little chuckle and an “Oh… it’ll be another 10 minutes. Sorry.” Which honestly felt bold considering nobody had checked on the table in roughly the same amount of time it takes to earn an associate’s degree.
Water glasses sat empty. Requests for soda refills were treated like personal inconveniences. Dirty dishes lingered on the table long enough to establish residency. And somehow the vibe became us being difficult for wondering whether our food still existed.
Nothing quite says “Happy 18th Birthday!” like spending the evening playing culinary detective in an empty restaurant while being gaslit over Sprite refills.
The food eventually arrived, which was comforting. We’d begun to suspect the kitchen staff had simply gone home for the evening.

We had a great experience on New Years Eve. Despite being very busy, they were very accommodating. Our waitress Tammy was amazing. We asked for items that were not listed on the menu and she was able to bring them. We had the broasted chicken and the steak tips. Both were very good.

Tried out the new Pizza Buffet. Pizza was hot, fresh, and delicious. You cant beat a good bar pizza. The salad bar and breadsticks also hit the spot. They even have deserts to finish it off. Great place for family dinners or date night.

We did a quick shiver run & went by boat to Hahns. We had the Friday fish, between all us Haddock & Walleye. Excellent! I had the walleye in the beer batter, very light great taste, with sweet potato fries with this amazing creamy dip, incredible! Friendly service. Worth the ride, great new owners too. Try it out!

We are very happy with all the improvements the new owners are making. We can't wait till next boating season, they are going to fix the rest of the docks.
Attention to detail on everything that’s important: food, cocktails, staff, entertainment(inside and out) and a fun atmosphere.
