I had to ask for water 3 times before I got it. Waitress asked if I wanted ketchup, I told her yes and NEVER got it.
It took a long time to get the food.

Amazing food and good quality comfort. It was an early morning and she sat us right by the fire and it was about 2 degrees that day. Was a great breakfast!

The food wasn't as good as I remember - I had biscuits (they were pretty small and dense, not larger and airy) & gravy (it was thick, like paste, and not very flavorful,) I ordered scrambled eggs and got a yellow slab that I needed a knife to cut into.

Cracker Barrel is always a go-to stop on long road trips for us. Two years in a row we have stopped at the Scottsburg, Indiana location for take-out to eat in our hotel. They messed up and omitted things on BOTH visits. No plastic ware on either visit. Sauces missing on both visits. Last night major mistakes on our order; no biscuits for either order, sides were omitted and substituted with things we didn’t want or order. On top of all of that the food was truly bad. Time for a new cook! Learn how to make creamy mashed potatoes that we can swallow. Very disappointed. Will never return! At the bottom of the receipt is a section that says STOP AND CHECK and a quick checklist and a spot to initial who did the quality check. Hmmmm…. nothing was filled in. Go figure. If you have a quality control system in place… USE IT! I am typically a person that leaves detailed POSITIVE reviews. I just couldn’t let this pass for a second time. Just in case someone from Cracker Barrel is interested in following up on this, our order number was 454265862 and to reiterate, we were at the Scottsburg, Indiana location, on Allen Street, on December 28, 2025.

Tanesha did such a great job as our server earlier today!! She was being double, even triple sat at some times in different waves. She would be so quick to clear and flip her tables while constantly being on top of refilling our drinks. Tanesha was very patient with our menu questions and overall had such a great attitude. The food was great but Tanesha made us leave with such grateful smile.

The service here was awful! We came in with a party of 7 and were told it would take 30-40 minutes to be seated. After waiting for 70 minutes because they refused to put 2 tables together we waited another 15 minutes to get our drinks and are still waiting for our food. Now we are starving and will never be visiting this Cracker Barrel again. We normally love Cracker Barrel so it’s really disappointing

Why don't you Cracker Barrel for lunch, still have the country store and the original decor inside and out. Hopefully it stays that way, had the chicken dinners food was good, all around the experience was great, I highly recommend it.
