Hammer Inn offers a down-to-earth atmosphere with friendly staff and quick service. Known for their amazing burgers, cheese curds, and curly fries, this Green Bay bar is popular for its reasonably priced menu. The bar is in the Shipyard Redevelopment Area, near the Olde Norwood neighborhood, an area rich in working-class history with a mix of industry and business. It is a friendly old-school blue-collar tavern with a basic décor, where regulars gather at the bar. The food, especially the cheeseburger & fries, is consistently delicious, and the Jack Hammer burger with mushroom, Muenster, bacon, and grilled onion is highly recommended. The beer served in 8-ounce glasses adds to the charm, and the staff, including Shelly, Danielle, Ashley, and Amy, are praised for their hospitality and making great drinks and food. While the food can sometimes be hit or miss due to a new cook, the bartenders receive high praise for their friendly service. The bar’s dimly lit but super clean and cozy environment makes it a perfect spot to enjoy a casual, neighborhood vibe.
