Ah, yes. The historical shipyard district! Stop in this spot and ask Jeff to share the story of the hand carved bar. Few establishments left in town remain nestled in buildings that are steeped in such rich history and lore, dating to the big lumber days of old when axemen floated timber down the Fox River from the Northwoods to fuel the paper mills and building boom from the Green Bay to the Fox River Valley.
If I could give this place a thousand stars, I would. But google has rules.
Walked in and it was mostly empty. Someone shooting darts in my peripheral but for the most part, it was sparsely populated. Sat down and the resident and most personable bartender came up and sparked up a chat. Poured us a few drinks and was happy to provide us with a background behind RumRunners.
Easily the most enjoyable conversations I’ve had at a bar in a while....

What a beautiful location. Everything is original inside from the tin ceiling to the ornate wood bar. A variety of products from local distilleries, local brewery and canned selzers and THC products. No, food per se, but they have bar pizza available. Their main draw are dart leagues. They have a back room with plenty of dartboards. Definitely stop in! And thank you to Jeff for his hospitality and history background.
