Enjoyed the upscale atmosphere, great drinks at the bar & delicious meals. Heidl House was nicely redone in 2021-22. Went on a Saturday in the winter off-season and felt like we had the place to ourselves.

Service was nice. Food was definitely not worth the price, when she said it would take 10 minutes to cook a ribeye I knew something was up. The center was overcooked, outside rim undercooked to the point of almost being raw on the inside. Asked for medium rare.
Got breakfast in the morning pancakes were sour. Spending that much on food you’d like it to be the quality for which it is priced at.

We had a great NYE dinner at Oakwood. It's a very nice dining room right on the lakefront, and the food we had (lobster bisque, steakhouse Caesar, 8 oz. filet, airline chicken) was very good. Also, Allison did a great job taking care of us throughout the meal. Would recommend!

The view is serene and combined with a delicious dinner and attentive service, make it a dining experience not to be missed. We always look forward to dining at Oakwood on our trips to Green Lake. This time we truly enjoyed the Heidel House Beef and Branzino. Wish they were open on Sundays.
This place is horrible. Save your time and money. Hostess seated us and was very pleasant, 15 minutes later nobody even gave us water or asked about drinks, we were forgotten about... Another couple walks in and gets service right away. Not to mention there were a total of 3 other tables and it was Friday night... Should have taken that as a sign. Discussed this situation with the GM (Tyler) and his response was I'm sorry, we are trying to find the restaurant manager for you. This is NOT a fine dining establishment, you will get better service at Burger King.

Overall one of the best dining experiences this year. Of course the view of Green lake is perfect but the Ribeye I had was delicious and a very good value. Service was also excellent. Had the breakfast buffet the next day and it was even a better deal!

We had an Open Table reservation however when we arrived the Oakwood was closed for a private party. We did not dine there. This is the second time this has happened to us once before at this restaurant. On the Open table website Oakwood is listed as not part of Open table. On the Oakwood site, Open table is the way to reserve a table. Which is it????
Second time visiting and equally as impressed as the first. Delicious and inventive menu options, prepared perfectly...my only complaint (which many would love) is that the portions were HUGE! I ordered their excellent pork tenderloin and the entire tenderloin was served...could have fed a family! And we couldn't take it with us because we were on the road ???. Staff was great and the lobby bar is beautiful, great bar seats too...anxious to visit again!

We waited 45 minutes for drinks. The restaurant was definitely short staffed. Food was good but also took way too long & is over priced for what was served. The view of lake is beautiful but overall the view isn't worth the price of food & service.
Good food
Nice spot looking at Green Lake. We had the bacon wrapped scallops for an appetizer and the salty bacon completely overwhelmed the scallops. I had the Branzino and the olive and capers overwhelmed the sea bass. Both dishes were cooked perfectly.

All was enjoyable. My wife had the broiled walleye and I had the lobster ravioli. The walleye was too fishy for my wife, so we switched dinners, though the ravioli was a little fishy too. Most of the walleye was fine with me and most of the ravioli was fine with my wife. I didn't get a chance to tell the waitress, who was otherwise very attentive, about my concerns.
We chose this restaurant to celebrate our 54th wedding anniversary. And it was an excellent choice. Service, Food, Ambiance... "top shelf". We will be back to celebrate of 55th.
