Excellent food. But not the greatest customer service experience. I’d recommend sitting in the bar area or further back. We were seated in the front by the garage door. We had to eat with our coats on it was so cold. We asked to be moved, we even said we’d wait. They would not accommodate us. Bartender was awesome! Server not so great!
Loud loud on Tuesday. Birthdays parties too many should have a private rooms. Service stunk, almost like it was substitute wait staff. People sat down after our table and orders were taken. Had to go to the counter to ask for service after waiting half hour. Server never came around. Probably won't be back.

I have stopped here with coworkers (twice) in the last year for drinks and appetizers: very underrated in that regard! Excellent martinis and the apps are superb.

UPDATE IN RESPONSE TO THE OWNER:
Photos have been added to illustrate some of the many examples of burnt or undercooked food received from Ricardo's. To make matters worse, Ricardo's knowingly packaged food in this condition for customers to pick up, rather than taking responsibility and remaking the food before the customer's arrival. Unfortunately, when this issue is addressed at pickup, customers must wait for their order to be remade, causing other items in their order to become cold.
Regarding your comment about "fact checking":
1. A gift card was issued because it took four follow-up phone calls over the course of a week to speak with someone about an unauthorized charge. During this call, other issues were discussed, including poor food quality and incomplete orders.
2. Ricardo's has been informed of all issues as they arise. Your kitchen supervisor confirmed that the plastic found in the food was likely part of a package that was cut open, resulting in the cut-off piece ending up in the dish. Accidents happen; however, your comment reinforces the original review’s note about deflecting blame, and your accusation of slander is itself slanderous.
3. In discussions about ongoing issues, Ricardo's management placed blame on the kitchen staff, employee age, and "employee turnover." "Employee turnover" refers to the rate at which employees leave a company and are replaced.
4. This review is not just about an incomplete order (missing half of the ingredients) or ongoing order issues in general; it's about how management handled the situation. The representative who initially took the call offered to refund the incomplete order and asked to place the call on hold for manager approval. When the manager picked up, they were rude and condescending, refusing to refund the order due to a "few missing ingredients," again placing fault on the kitchen staff.
It is clear from this review and others that Ricardo's has been consistently inconsistent lately, a fact that management has also previously acknowledged. The difference here lies in how prior issues were handled compared to this situation.
ORIGINAL REVIEW:
Once a gem in Greendale, Ricardo's Pizza has unfortunately transformed into a disappointing experience. While the staff may be friendly, frequent turnover has led to inconsistent food quality that raises significant concerns. Serious issues have been encountered, such as finding hair and plastic in meals, which call hygiene and safety into question. Many dishes have arrived incomplete or improperly cooked—some undercooked, while others are burnt beyond recognition.
Even more troubling is the management’s rude and dismissive attitude when concerns are raised. Instead of addressing complaints with respect and professionalism, there seems to be a tendency to make light of the issues and deflect blame. For a restaurant that charges premium prices, these problems are simply unacceptable.
For these reasons, I can no longer recommend Ricardo’s Pizza Greendale as I once did. It’s best to look elsewhere, as there are certainly better options that prioritize quality, accuracy, and customer care.
Fantastic pizza! We also love their wings and fish fry! You won't be disappointed.

Food is very good BUT you have 3 or 4 waitresses running and 4 standing by a stand doing nothing. My mother in law had some issues and I watched them up there laughing and talking about us. Love the food but those kids need better supervision.

We went there tonight around 6 was told a half hour wait 2 people ahead of us then was told 2 people ahead another20 minutes finally we we went up and had to cancel was not happy
Very busy place. Kind of small for how busy it was. They gave me a fork with residue on it. The utensils were dirty. I was also outside where I could see that. Probably won't see that inside where it's dark.
They gave us the food in a massive sized cereal bowl and gave us spoons for our pasta. Spoons? I won't knock them for trying something new with bowls but spoons for pasta? Come on now.
The servers were ok. The male ones were, well how young adult males would act. No customers service skills at all, no acknowledgement when they bring you things and just a glare.
The outside was nice, but Gordon Ramsey could make an episode out of this place.

Every time I pick up food at Ricardos I am just amazed at the pleasant and hard working young people working in this establishment! It was so busy tonight with events in Greendale but this did not affect the customer service at Ricardos!!!

Pizza was great, and the calamari teaser was normal. Old Fashion was good. Service was excellent. We sat outside so not to sure about the atmosphere inside.

We are long time customers of this restaurant but something has changed here. The pizza crust today was thicker than usual and it was very tough. I was unable to even cut it with my knife and fork. We ordered calamari appetizer and it was so tough and rubbery it was inedible. We sent it back and got a second order only to be disappointed with it again because it was so tough that you couldn’t chew it. They took it off our bill.

We were seated right away, and water was brought to the table.
The menu has one side for ordering pizzas, and the other side has sandwiches, burgers, and specialties.
The pizzas were brought out hot. The cheesy garlic was really good with a side of marinara sauce.
The service was good. Nice little gem located in downtown Greendale.
Kid-friendliness: I notice several kids dining with their families.

Good pizza, service is quite slow. They never have enough bartenders. You will be waiting a bit if you go on a Friday or Saturday night, I would say between 45 minutes to an hour. My favorite pizza here is the BBQ Chicken,

Need to edit my review after a reply from the owner, I was incorrect. It was a number of years that I have visited. I noticed the garage door opening up to the outdoor dining, very nice. Limited beers on tap, but good choice with the Capital Brewery Amber. The half order of garlic bread was good, nice presentation, but small. The Hummer sandwich was excellent! Restaurant DOES NOT charge a 4% fee for using a credit card, but offers a DISCOUNT if paying with cash.
