World Traveler Local Guide·124 reviews·5 photos Our annual friends Christmas dinner was held here last night and our group of six 70 -somethings are all veterans of fine dining. The room was packed and decorated for the season. Our waitress took drink orders and returned quickly to explain the menu. She was obviously experienced and very efficient throughout our stay. She made sure we understood our grilling expectations. "Crispy outside with pink inside?" This eliminates surprises and disappointments noted by other reviewers. Our party had a variety of steaks and all were satisfied with the quality and quantity of each meal. I'm a French Onion soup freak and was a little disappointed, as it lacked flavor. But we all agreed our other side dishes we had were on point. Reviewers who complain about the prices might check other area steakhouses and will find this restaurant is in line with the better establishments and even cheaper than some. The six of us enjoyed our experience here and plan to return in the future.

been coming to the Steak out for 35 years. while sometimes the steaks are charred a little too much recently compared to the past, I have yet to find a steak place to compare to the Steakout. it is delicious in a cozy supper club atmosphere. honestly some of the complaints sound like people were looking for something for nothing and I've seen the same names on other reviews sites and seem like chronic complainers just trying to knock someone down while hiding behind their screens. I've learned to ask for little to no charring in my steaks and it's been as outstanding as ever. seriously, other steak joints can't compare ... haven't found a one in the Milwaukee area yet.

I've been here many times and never a disappointment. I always order a jr. filet and lobster. It's always done to perfection.

The food was OK, steaks were not great for the steakhouse. Every side was an additional charge. The mandatory tip for larger group was 20%. On top of that, they charge 3% fee for credit card use. For the prices the restaurant charges, it's just not wort it.

Nice atmosphere but the scallops I had were some of the worst I've ever had. Disappointed since they were expensive on the menu. My husband had filet migon and his was cold and not were good either.

Wow, for those prices you would expect a larger portion. In addition the filet was tough and had no flavor. Baked French onion soup was watered down canned soup. Sides are even worse, instant mashed potatoes with canned gravy. Stay home, food NOT WORTH IT.

I actually was concerned as we walked in with the warning sign for extra cost with credit cards. I have never seen that with high end steak places. The French onion soup was good and we should have stopped there. Our steaks were lacking flavor and were very chewy. The green beans were rubbery and most likely from a can. The asparagus was overcooked and stringy. Mashed potatoes had an instant box consistency. My friend told the waitress that her steak was terrible and after she spoke with chef she said that’s how it is supposed to be. We didn’t finish eating and did not take anything to go. Most restaurants try to make the experience better with offers of other choices or deduct cost. Our bill was $135 and very disappointing, we will not return.

We were at this restaurant for the VERY first time for my mother's 77th birthday , food tasted great but WAY to expensive #1 for the portion size of meetll that's rediculas, and the waitress we had was told three time there was going to be 2 different bills
Three on one billl and myself and my husband on the other only. Because the others people we were with was paying for there own. Come to find out we had someone else's meal on our bill, with a 60 dollar steak that they had on top of it all!!!! Just totally wrong , ,,,,,

This restaurant reminds me of old school supper club when Al plays. It's dim lighting sets a nice atmosphere. We love the prime rib, it has been consistently good for us. The mushrooms are delicious. Love the hashbrowns..servers are friendly. Only downfall I feel is every mixed drink I've had, hasn't been all that great. The chef is very friendly. He talks to the customers and he's pretty funny. It's nice also that you can see them cooking your steak. I have recommended this restaurant to family and friends.
