This evening was very disappointing. We went here for dinner with our 1 year old and our in laws. Our appetizer came out even after our dinners. The server came to our table bare minimum- drinks, order, clear plates and tabs. He did not know the menu, as I had gotten the chicken and shrimp- no sides were offered and never got the chance to clarify or request them to be sent out. Not even the dinner roll. “Disappointing food” doesn’t even begin to explain how absolutely diabolical this establishment has become over the past year or so.
My boyfriend and I have had past experiences with terrible service and bad food, but decided to give it one more try. Terrible idea.

As someone with Celiac disease, I was looking forward to trying their gluten free menu. Unfortunately we never got the chance. We visited on a Saturday afternoon. There was 1 other table of guests. We waited 5 minutes to get sodas and the GF menu. We then did not see our server for another 15 minutes. Schuggy's American Grill & Taphouse offers a varied menu with dishes like steak, salmon, baked fish, spicy mac and cheese, and open-faced pot roast sandwich. The atmosphere is great and the staff works hard to make it a fun experience. The food is amazing and the large selection makes it hard to choose. The Ruben Mac and Cheese is awesome and the mashed potatoes are amazing and delicious. The Whiskey Pineapple Chicken wrap is great and highly recommended. A gem in Hammond, it is a recommended option for those seeking a casual dining experience.
