Our waitress on Monday morning for breakfast just disappeared. We actually had to get our own coffee. She seems to be preoccupied with something in the kitchen.Update! We came on Wednesday May 1st. We had 6 people this time. Had the the same waitress. The was better because she gave crafts of coffee. She didn't refill them so that sucked. Also, she refused to give us spoons to stir the coffee unless you said you having cream in it. Honestly, she watched me stir the sweetener in with a fork.The food here is very good and at great value. The service has really gone down hill on Wednesday. We have been coming to the mineshaft for 7+ years on Wednesday. Maybe we are just use to the service that Cindy provided. More recently Sara. Our group will need to make a decision, continue coming on Wednesday or change the day to Friday when Sara is working, or go somewhere else. Management needs to react!

They had a fun Mexican Food buffet! Pretty good deal for all the options of rice and beans, flatuas, enchiladas... the food was honestly okay. The kind where it still tastes good but you can't tell if it was actually made there or just unfrozen- but good for the price. But the service was great and super hospitable and the mineshaft has fun decor and atmosphere.

We've frequented this establishment a few times, mainly because of the game room which is great for those with kids. The food is nothing to rave about. Not bad, not amazing. Solidly average. We recently had our sons 5th birthday party there. We were told if there was a change in party size to give them at least a 48 hr notice, which we did. My son wanted an Air Force themed birthday because, I, his dad, am in the air force. We were told we'd be able to decorate so we brought thinks like camo netting, air plane posters, etc. The party was scheduled to begin at 130 so I arrived at 1pm in hopes I could survey the area and have a plan to decorate for when my wife arrived. I checked in at the host stand (in uniform) and said I was here for *sons name* birthday party. The hostess looks at me and says "Well the party starts at 130 and you're the first to arrive". I stated "Right. I'm the birthday boys dar and was sent here on a "mission" (pun intended) to at least check the space out. She stated "I'm sorry, but you can't go back there right now and it'll be closer to the 130 start time." No smile, no granulate of empathy. Just, no. Ooooooook...so we literally sat in the lobby for 30 min. When finally allowed into the space there were still families finishing their meals (no big deal) but we were then told we COULD NOT decorate. My wife inquired with a staff member to clarify and they stated the error was my wife's fault. Wow...Our server, I will say, was AMAZING! VERY accommodating and handled the party extremely well. All this being said, I've owned/ operated restaurants and ran 5 star hotels. I get the service industry is grappling with staffing shortages. I get it, I really do, however the customer service we experienced was material for a candid camera comedy show. Needless to say we do not plan on returning and I would encourage those planning birthday parties to seek out other options.

Great burgers (with tater tots!!) great service, friendly staff! Lots of daily drink and meal specials. Homey atmosphere. The bathrooms are even very nice and clean!
