Shouting from the rooftops Hartford go visit Ichiban for fabulous meal. Eat fresh and healthy. Wonderful hibachi prepared meals and my husband has discovered he much prefers this freshly prepared hibachi over any Chinese restaurant food, the fried rice tastes so much better and the seared vegetables and meat is much better than the corn starched gravies and sauces often used in Chinese carry out.”

Everyone there is so kind and seem genuinely to enjoy their job and co workers. I love some of the younger girls who run the food - their smile and enthusiasm is awesome.

“I've been here a few times and so far I've had the pastrami sandwich, the spinach and asparagus soup and today I ordered the mushroom and garlic soup for the first time. While the mushroom and garlic soup was delicious, I think it would be better as a cream soup which I thought it was when I looked at the picture on the website. I do have to say I was disappointed in that 8 oz was almost entirely broth. There was barely any mushrooms in it so that was disappointing for $6. Overall though so far I'm happy with the items that I received in general.”

“Had a half pound cheeseburger that was superb! Very juicy and perfectly seasoned and served on a brioche Bun. Price includes either French fries and tater tots and I opted for the tator tots. Received an ENORMOUS portion, and they were crisp and delicious.

My dining partners all ordered the fish fry and were all extremely satisfied. I tried a bite of the Cajun cod my wife ordered, and it was excellent. Seasoning was perfect with just the right amount of heat.

We ate on the rear deck and enjoyed a lovely view of Pike Lake. Shade umbrellas kept the sun off our heads and with a light breeze it was an outstanding outdoor dining experience.
