I stopped here and I did a U turn to go back to check them out because I'm not in the area that often and I felt like I would be missing something. The place very old looking on the inside with a small bar and gambling machines. The bartender was nice and talkative with the customers all 3 of us. The front sign is a leftover of a time past and they don't have food but they have frozen Brew Pub pizza. The walls and fixtures look old and I was told that it's been a Bar since 1901....read full review
Always a great time at downslope, love the new owners. Always so personable and even had some yummy pretzels out to snack on. Pizza was also good, lotza motza brand. Great addition back into the neighborhood!

Hartford Alumni represent! Great little bar! It has 1800's charm. It is an old building and a very cool spot to explore. I highly recommend visiting this gem. Food was 5 stars because they have delicious and unique snacks!
