The Covered Wagon Restaurant is a great spot for a meal with family or friends, offering excellent food and fast friendly service. Their menu offers a variety of options, with daily specials and fresh baked goods. Servers are pleasant, knowledgeable, and accommodating. The hot beef sandwich was tender, flavorful, and generous portions. Kids will enjoy meals like the corn dog with fries. Desserts and service are both excellent. The broasted chicken was amazing, so tender and juicy, and the baked potato with butter, sour cream, and fresh chives was delicious. The salad was fresh with fresh crispy veggies and a lovely sprinkle of cheese. The beef noodle soup is fantastic. This was the best meal in weeks! Food was great and homemade. Prices are reasonable. Although it can be easy to miss when driving south on 53, the spacious gravel parking lot can accommodate trucks and trailers, and there is a nice area for handicap parking. Many plan to return to this charming establishment.
