Can you say HOMEMADE and mean it? This small spot tucked away on a side street is a total hidden gem. The customer service was outstanding—some of the best we’ve had in a long time.
The Poutine is a must—one of the best combos. The Reuben was perfection from the meat to the bread, and the Italian beef combo was hands down 5 STAR.
Make Eddy’s on Third a stop on your next Hayward road trip—you will NOT be disappointed.

We were passing through Hayward and stumbled across Eddy's while we were walking around town shopping. This place is not on any of the main streets so it's probably not as easy to find as some other restaurants in Hayward but we liked the unique menu and atmosphere. It reminded me of an old-time diner and some of the cleanest restaurant bathrooms I have ever seen. They are noted for their Italian beef sandwiches. The smashed cashew burger sounded better than it tasted....

Eddie’s on Third is an absolute gem! The burgers are out of this world, and the daily specials are always delicious. They go above and beyond for anyone with celiac or gluten intolerance, they even have a separate fryer, which is such a rare and thoughtful touch.
