Super cool place! But I must say, the bartender with the long dark hair/ponytail that was working last Saturday night should find a job she actually likes. There were 26 of us and it wasn't overly busy when we arrived. Our group was not behaving badly in any way yet were treated like we were an annoyance and an inconvenience. She was incredibly rude and unfriendly. She pointedly ignored us when trying to order drinks and scowled at us when we finally got her attention....
A local recommended this place to us. It was cool to see the interesting mounts! Great atmosphere, and there was some great music playing on the jukebox! The bartender was the only one working and he was great! This was the afternoon of 10-5-2024. He was busy and keeping things clean, and all were severed promptly. My husband even asked him the best spot to see some bear. He didn't think we would see any but told us of a good spot to see some elk! Definitely recommend checking...
The Hayward classic. Don’t expect to eat there (unless you’re in the mood for frozen pizza). But it’s a great bar to have a few beers with friends. If you haven’t seen the mounts in this place, then you must go. Take the kids.
Parking: Good size parking lot, and on street parking as well.
Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly. Plenty of games available.
